My husband and I came to get a hiking backpack to carry our 1 year old in. Syd was SO helpful!! She spent quality time with us to get it fitted, try it out (even with a screaming toddler), and gave us great tips and tricks. I don’t think we would’ve ended up purchasing without her help! And of course, grabbing some goodrs made our trip a plus

My husband and I have been doing more backpacking trips lately so we’ve made a lot of visits to this store. Let me tell you… Darrell is exceptional at his job. Truly. Every time we come he is right there to help us and guide us in our purchases. Darrell is really knowledgeable about camping and hiking and he’s the reason we’ve had such success on the trails. I really just can say enough about this guy. Also the woman in the shoe department (I’m so mad I forgot her name) was phenomenal and took the time to help us when we decided to randomly get into trail running lol everyone at this store is kind and excited about what they do. I’ve been to so many REIs and this one is my favorite.

I went to REI in Milford tonight. I have an older Yakima kayak rack that was missing two screws . These parts were important to me and to tighten the rack placement on my car. Ryan searched the web page and then searched in the back room for these screws. It took a bit of time to do both. The customer service I received from him was above and beyond!!!! Thank you Ryan, because of his time ,effort and fabulous customer service I will be kayaking tomorrow.

Knowledgeable staff wouldn't let me buy something that didn't fit and we're honest if I was looking at something I probably didn't need.
Going on a once-in-a-lifetime trek through remote parts of Madagascar and their expert advice was reassuring. Everyone i spoke with had personal experience and shared their knowledge with me. Top notch!

Sharon was outstanding with helping. Very knowledgeable and supported us throughout our purchase. REI prices can be steep but worth it for the engineering that goes into the products and the sports disciplines. They have products that prioritize sustainability and have a program to return worn items, have not fully explored it but sounds like an ideal program for a company focused on the environment. Overall this location was a great place to purchase, alll staff were great and our shopping experience was positive.

Outstanding Customer Service from Eddy!
I had a fantastic experience at DICK’S Sporting Goods in Milford, all thanks to a phenomenal customer service specialist named Eddy. Before I met him, I was completely frustrated trying to find what I needed. Eddy immediately stepped in with a calm, helpful attitude and guided me through everything I was looking for.
His knowledge of the store was impressive! He knew exactly where everything was and offered helpful suggestions along the way. What really stood out was his patience, professionalism, and top-notch customer service skills. If it weren’t for him, I honestly would have left empty-handed.
Eddy turned what could have been a frustrating visit into a great shopping experience. He’s a true asset to the store, amd company and I’m grateful for his help.

Man in footwear on evening of 6/9 was not very helpful. Seemed like he didn’t even want to grab me shoes to try on. I just needed a couple of sneakers to try and it was like pulling teeth. They also hardly have any normal sizes for women

I’m leaving five stars, because I love the new running vest that I got!! I am absolutely obsessed I am a dog walker, and I was sick and tired of using my fanny pack to carry Around Things! I bought TheNathan running vest although the salomon was super fire! My only complaint is that they were rushing us because they were closing, However, Darryl was very helpful beyond helpful, helping me, and my wife find the perfect running vest. He was very knowledgeable on the running vests. He was even nice enough to find the right Size, Helped me put it on as well. And showed me all of the different compartments! Everyone else in the store made us feel super rushed, but Darrell was very patient and took his time helping us out. If you ever go to this location, I would highly recommend working with Darrell.

Theresa in footwear was SO helpful and knowledgeable! She made sure we got the best fit shoe and gave us all the information we needed to get the shoes in stock from another REI location. 10/10 recommend Theresa!!!

First time inside any REI and I was very satisfied with all aspects of the store. From the selection of products to the helpfulness of the staff—I give them an A+. I was looking for rain gear for an upcoming trip to Alaska and the staff there showed me everything I would need and the different price points. It was such a pleasant experience that I can’t wait to go back the next time I need anything for the outdoors.

Store representative was very knowledgeable and helpful about products. We were looking for ski helmet and goggles. Representative helped us with the fitting and recommendation for the brand but he mentioned that my mother had a very interesting accent and wondered where we were from. Could have been a nice experience but was ruined by that one comment.
Also asked for a different size but another representative was being dismissive.
I suggest if you do business here, do returns and do your own research before getting what you need. Avoid small talk.
