About Stepaway Preschool
Stepaway is committed to the concept that childhood should be a journey, not a race. Students at Stepaway have a rare opportunity to engage in enriching activities and at the same time learn necessary academic skills in a fun and hands-on way. We believe first and foremost that children need to learn to love learning! Stepaway was founded in the 1960s as an educational mission of Stepney Baptist Church. Stepaway is a part-time, Christian preschool for children ages 2, 3, 4 & 5. Our program is non-denominational and nurturing, welcoming children from every background.

We sent our 2 year old to Stepaway and have nothing but great things to say. The teachers are loving and patient. They take things slow for the little ones to get used to a school setting.
