I have to share this!! I come here often. And lately Mari has been helping when I check out. She has such an amazing helpful and happy attitude. Nowadays I feel like customer service isn't what it used to be. But, Mari changed how I feel. She was extremely helpful this last time. I had gotten overcharged in another store and didn't realize it until I was back home. I went to the Naugatuck store and she confirmed that I was and was so helpful!! Mari, thank you so much for always being so kind and so helpful! You are very much appreciated! This is now the only Dollar General I will go to!! Thank you!!
Also, Luis was very helpful too, with a very positive attitude. Thank you so much for making such a positive shopping experience!!

I have been to quite a few Dollar General locations and hands down my absolute favorite is my hometown Naugatuck location.
O’Malley , Orlando, Luis & Maria I have to tell you are customer service professionals!!!
They are knowledgeable, efficient, & most importantly kind with good energy!
I just wanted to give a shout out!

This is the cleanest, friendliest and best Dollar Generals in the area! I was on the hunt for the Dolly Parton kitchen merchandise and told the manager Maria. I asked if she could call me if she can across anything. Well, after less than 24hrs later, she called me to say she found a box and to stop in! I bought nearly everything I wanted. The clerk Michael knew I was coming in and was so kind and happy to help! I will definitely be making regular trips to this location! Thank you for such a great experience!

Went there the other day (6/10 around 6pm) and bought something small and had a bus ticket from greyhound that I was told on the website I could pay for there, so I said to him I have this and I have a barcode for a bus ticket and it said I could pay it here, and he said “I don’t know nothing about that” so I said ok, I try handing him the barcode and said could you at least try scanning this and he was just giving me a lot of trouble.. He couldn’t figure it out, saying dollar general doesn’t do that, I said fine but I only had a 100 dollar bill for an item that was like 5 bucks, he was clearly really annoyed because he proceeded to ring up my one thing having a whole conversation under his breath CUSSING ME OUT lol Eventually I showed him the dollar general sign on their website with the location on rubber ave and walked out!!! I won’t be back!

I am disappointed at some of the reviews I noticed about this Dollar General location. For one, Dollar General and Dollar Tree differ in that Dollar Tree has items costing $1. Dollar General does not. With that said, I was extremely happy with my visit to the Naugatuck, Connecticut, DG store yesterday. I was greeted and offered help upon store entry. Jarisa was extremely helpful in assisting me in locating items I wanted to purchase. They had everything in stock for me to buy. I noticed two self-checkout stations and one full-checkout area where Jarisa worked. She was pleasant and accommodating. Jarisa ensured I received all posted discounts, including the $5 off $25 Saturday coupon discount. I would recommend this Dollar General location and Jarisa to family and friends. Additionally, the parking was more than plentiful. I travel throughout the United States and shop at Dollar General every Saturday using coupons. I give this location a 10 out of 10! :)

Pricy for a dollar store. Difficulty exiting parking spot and lot thanks to a tractor trailer and persistent traffic. My conclusion: Dollar Tree in Mountview Plaza is cheaper and easier to access.

It is mostly self check out with a few staff members around if you need help. I haven't had any issues with my visits. There is more variety in this store than other older stores I feel. However, it is not as neat and organized as when it first opened. It's convenient where it's located. They have a few sections items are just a dollar. I do like that! ?

it's all self check out registers, there's 0 customer service, and their corporate office is slowly turning this location into those in Waterbury. They're ordering way more merchandise than these associates can put away, so boxes are just sitting there. Dollar General is the only store I know of that blocks aisles and their shelfed merchandise with carts that have boxes stacked 6 feet high. No manager in sight. Yesterday early afternoon there was no manager at all, just 2 girls standing there doing nothing but talking to each other. And this is a brand new store with merchandise sitting in boxes .
