I was looking forward to my haircut as I thought I would get an haircut that would work without loads of product and blow drying, but I ended up with a terrible cut. Raymond does not listen. He has given me specifically what I asked him not to give me. He refused to look at pictures I had brought with me. He has cut off so much hair that it will take years to grow it back. When I said I didn’t like it, he flippantly remarked that I could put it up as I had it before. It seems that the hair cut is for Raymond rather than the client and when I expressed concern during the cut, he just seemed to brush it off implying that everything was in his capable hands. I now have to spend much more time on my hair than I did before to avoid the look he has created and with one of my children getting married in the next couple of months, this is upsetting.
I have to revise this posting as about 8 months of growing out, I have finally ended up with the hair I wanted. It is almost zero maintenance and looks great. My only advice to someone going to Raymond is to bear this in mind

I have been a customer for several years. Michaelene does an excellent job straightening my thick coarse hair. She does it done every 3 to 4 months and I can happily say the results are fabulous! Michaelene also colors my hair regularly and her treatments keep my hair healthy and shiny. I'm an extremely satisfied customer!

I followed Michaline here from her studio in Fairfield because she just 'gets it'. She always knows exactly what to do with my hair and we have a good chat at the same time! My hair is not always the easiest to manage so finding someone that knows how to cut it well is not easy! Helps that the studio is lovely too and has a great, friendly atmosphere.

I just found Raymond as I was moving out of New Canaan--what a shame for me! He literally gave me the best haircut I've ever had. Now I have to drive up from Virginia for my cuts because I can't live without his talent. Fortunately for me, the cuts are so great they last a long time. It looks different as it grows out, obviously, but still fantastic. The salon is so convenient and just focused on great hair so he and his wife, who is a colorist, can keep the prices reasonable. If you're looking for a new stylist, run don't walk to Image Design Group.Services: Haircut

Another amazing haircut by Ray ! He loves to experiment with new techniques and is always trying to improve. Someone who understands different face shapes and hair types to create looks that compliment clients appearance. Absolutely cannot recommend this salon enough, every time I go I get consistent and quality haircuts!!!!!!!

Raymond is a master of his craft and really takes the time to make sure what you want is what you get. And if you're not sure he'll find a way to make you look and feel more confident then you were walking in. A great conversationalist and always funny, I've been going here for years now and will continue to do so! The best of the best I wouldn't want anyone else to cut my hair

I've been getting haircuts with Raymond for years now and I couldn't reccomend his business more. He encourages hair to be layered perfectly which is difficult on my end since it's so straight so he's an amazing hairdresser!Layering hair through a dry hair cut with scissors is so cool to watch. I was lucky I could see him cut after my hair was blow dryed. SO he does cuts on dry hair- that's a magical experience.Please, get a haircut with him only if ya want magic. When former hair stylist of 30 years retired, I despaired of finding a stylist that could cut & style short hair. It took many months of trying hair stylists recommended by other people before finding Raymond! He is a ninja when it comes to short hair cuts. Another review said that Raymond's hair cuts are a work of art! I couldn't agree more. I'll remain loyal to Raymond until he retires, which I hope is a very long time from now! I highly recommend Raymond for both his hair cuts and wonderful hair coloring.
