Wow! This store is so bad. I'm from New Canaan and I used to love going to the store They use to have this guy who is unbelievable as a wine person. He always knew how to put great Wines in my hand. Now I walk in there and short guy and the new manager makes me feel uncomfortable. Go shopping somewhere else because it's not the same.

I've been shopping here for the last few months. I moved to New Canaan in 2018 from NYC. Everybody in town was telling me to go and shop at Stewart's. So my wife and I went to check it out. The grocery store experience was great! So many helpful friendly people over there. However that was not the case at the wine shop. I met a young gentleman named Paul. He stated to us he was the manager. He was the most rudest person I've ever met in my life. However there was a guy named Ken that showed us some awesome wines. He couldn't have been more charming and funny. He made our experience unbelievable. He was so much fun! We learn so much about wine with him. My wife went over there a few days ago and I guess the management let Ken go. I can understand that they let go that obnoxious kid Paul but I don't understand why they let go of Ken? I guess they replace him with this short guy that has no idea about wine. I asked him for a bottle to have with dinner and he gave me a suggestion that made me very uncomfortable. I said to the short guy how much I love bordeaux's and he couldn't tell me anything about the wine. I don't think he knows what he's talking about? It's a shame, because I talk to other people in town and they told me that this was the place to go and talk Ken. I guess the manager Paul and the short guy were not the people to talk to. I wish they never got rid of Ken because he was very passionate about what he did and the new little guy, is very uneasy. I hope this company realize what they did? What happen to Ken? He was the reason why we shop there.

Horrible customer service. Please learn how to talk with people....not at people. If you are not happy with your working conditions, don't take it out on your customers. FYI, you are not the only store that sells alcohol.

Walked in here a few weeks ago and was staring at the beer cooler. One of the guys came up from behind the counter and asked if he could help. I mentioned I was looking to try some classic style IPAs (not New England Style which is overly fruity). He pointed out a great local brew I had not heard of. A few weeks later he also turned me on to a great new bourbon as well. Highly recommend.

Very nice shop, has very obscure items. Drove there to pick up a hard to find malt wine for a family member.
