“I always think of Fairhaven Furniture as a place I can go to find artful, quality furniture and gifts. In recent times I bought a new bed, wedding gifts and gifts for my new Great Grandson! And, one gift for me (a cutting board)!Thank you for always being there.”
“Super kind and professional owners. My husband and I came in to get our Ketubah (Jewish marriage contract) framed and it was ready for pickup within a few weeks. It is a really special piece that we will forever have hanging in our home and they handled it with such care. They were really delightful to work with and the prices felt very reasonable for the quality of the frame/glass. Glad to have this shop in Westville!”
“A really cool eclectic store with lots of cool things you didn’t know you needed. We found all kinds of neat things. A really nice spot without pushy sales people.”
“Great buying experience with Tainisha. Very knowledgeable and pleasant to speak with. Bought a new mattress after using BridgeIT and looking forward to getting it.”
“One of my fav stores ever. I love coming in here. I love the fact it has an upstairs. I also like the wide variety of products being sold. I enjoy coming in here. I love the customer service and enjoy the atmosphere.”
“This place caught me off guard- in a good way. Strange Ways is tucked in behind the courthouses in New Haven, and I never would’ve expected a store with this much personality to be hiding there. I was drawn in by the bright colors and the wordplay, and once inside it kept getting better.
The whole vibe feels like reconnecting with your childhood self- playful, bold, colorful, and a little weird in a way that works. If you love clever phrases, visual humor, and design that doesn’t take itself too seriously, this store is full of it. It’s also a fantastic spot for gifts, especially for those people who are impossible to shop for because they “already have everything.”
They have a great assortment of patches, pins, stationery, and small gift items, and I appreciated that nothing felt generic or mass-produced. I ended up buying myself a sweater and a beanie (because obviously), and both were great quality. Pricing felt very fair... exactly what you’d expect when supporting a small, local business, without feeling overpriced.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. And surprisingly, parking wasn’t bad at all. I parked right on the street, fed the meter with some quarters, and had no issues.
This is one of those shops that makes you happy you wandered off the main path a bit. I’ll definitely be back.”
