My first time at big Y. Just moved into town I was greeted by a young lady Bella. She was a light of joy, made my experience better than any other store in town. I will definitely be back. I placed my order then did my shopping and picked up my food. Nothing but a smile on her face. My day. I will definitely be back

If I could give a Zero I would . I called over the phone to order pizza , I asked for wings . Whomever answered said there was wings at the wing bar , I get there and there are no wings available I order wings . I was told 10 mins . Waited 30 mins for the wrong order

I prefer Big Y to other stores because of their fresh produce. However, I had a terrible experience last week when I needed to use Western Union services. Melissa who was stationed at the Customer Service desk was not very pleasant to deal with. I have never had problems with employees here, usually everyone is very helpful but this one day left a bitter taste. I am definitely doing my shopping at other stores within the vicinity, especially for western union services.

I waited over close to 12 minutes with just 2 people in front of me already being served at the deli... noone else around.. at about 10 minutes I noticed there was a digital number board, but saw now kiosk for the numbers.. the guy then calls 14 I kindly told him I have been waiting forever and did not know there was a number system here.. that's when I noticed the number tickets basically hidden all the way at the corner... So the person serving me went to serve the person who magically had the number 14... disrespectful customer on top of the person serving... If the manager of the store reads this you need to move the ticket kiosk out into the open space of the floor versus hiding it at the corner on the counter hidden with other stuff around it. This was terrible service and it's a bummer because the store looked very nice, but not too sure I will be able to come back after this poor service. This could have been handled much better and professionally by your employee to simply explain the situation to the other customer... versus ignoring me and then taking the other person's order after I was the only one waiting here for those first 10 minutes..

I love shopping here. The displays are put together very nicely and I always end up buying more than I plan to. I don't say this about many grocery stores, but this one just has a nice vibe going.

Not a bad place. Some prices on things are more expensive than in other places, and some are cheaper. I wish they had more fresh bread but it will definitely do.

I was holding off but cannot stay silent anymore as this is now the 3rd time my husband has had a poor experience with employees at this store. Today he was singled out by an employee while using the self checkout. They asked if he scanned 2 cases of water which h he did. Not only did they not take his word for it but embarrassed him by going back to the cart in the computer to check. This is not the first instance of feeling singled out at this location by a white older femal employee over the color of his skin. Very disappointing to see he has yet again had a poor experience and was treated differently for the color of his skin.

I was at the Big Y location in New Milford CT, 9/3/2023. I made my way to the self-checkout area and proceeded to scan my items. I had about 20/21 items which included 2 cases of water. Suddenly, one of your employees (a mature woman) came over to me and questioned my scanning the 2 cases of water. She then reached over and proceeded to back me out of the screen I was in to enter bag quantity in order to check to see if I was telling the truth. I said to her "I scanned 2 cases of water." She could then see for herself that I was telling the truth and when I questioned her actions, she told me she needed to see if something needed to be cleared, walked away. I have been going to Big Y for years. I have been to the location in Monroe CT, Bethel CT and now this one since it is the closet one to me. I go there several times a week and I have been a faithful customer for years. (including myself, friends and family). I have never been more insulted by the fact that this employee suspected I would steal from your location and did not apologize for her inappropriate actions. I paid for my groceries and left. Once I arrived home, I called and spoke to a gentleman/manager by the name of Carson*. Speaking with him, he said he would let the manager/supervisor who oversees that area of the store know and apologized for my upsetting experience. I also requested to be contacted because I need to know why this happened to me. As I said to Carson, I certainly hope it was not because of my skin color. I felt like I was targeted because I did not see anyone else getting questioned or treated the way I was. To feel discriminated, insulted and to be treated this way is wrong on so many levels. Until I hear back from someone, I will not be going back there. I do hope no one else ever has to experience what I went through went through.

I almost always choose to shop at this location, and I come and get the grab-and-go sushi pretty regularly for an easy lunch if I'm in a rush or craving sushi, since its usually pretty good here. BUT, last week they ran a 6 dollar promo on sushi, I and assumed it was still perfectly fine to eat. My wife got the normal priced box and I got 2 sale boxes, and I alone had terrible food poisoning for 2 days. I wish I could buy it again, but now I don't trust them to care about the quality of the sushi, over making 6 bucks.

Good selection of produce, seafood and meats, but some of the worst deli counter service I’ve ever encountered. Step it up and pay attention to the people you hire. They’re very rude. The young check out staff is much better than the older deli counter. People need to learn manners.

It's a clean environment and a good smell...the employers are nice and polite ?
