Joe helped us get a refrigerator in less than a half hour!!! Lots of choices but he took our needs into consideration and steered us in the right place at a reasonable price.

bought new fridge from S.K.L. during pandemic.sales rep. was satisfactory as was delivery.fridge itself, not so much.within 1 yr, freezer door jammed, slides broke.within 2 yrs, evaporator motor burnt out.differently, i recall an almond colored fridge i got in early 80s, lasted a smooth 25 yrs (kept it as back-up for its last 10 yrs).sure, it didn't have modern features, but it had one feature:"keep stuff cold".yeah, "they don't make 'em like they used to" and unless u get a svc. contract at time of sale, the store u buy from can't/won't do much other than offer to send out a tech. (which may take wks),and likely cost u for service-call, labor, diagnostics, parts, etc., b/c that fugazi "10 yr warranty" sticker that manufacturers put on items only applies in so few situations it's practically worthless.i can't fault S.K.L. (or any store) as it all comes down to, not how things are sold, but how things are now made by the big brands w/ more focus on aesthetics than functionality.

We purchased a Kitchenaid refrigerator on 11/1/22 with a 5 yr warranty. We've had nothing but problems with the fridge, and it's not even 1 yr old. We've had the tech come out for 4 separate issues: 1st was fan replacement, 2nd was the freezer door, 3rd was door gaskets, 4th was condensation buildup. The 1st time we stopped in to SK Lavery to complain, & all they said was to call the warranty department. We are totally displeased with this fridge & all the issues we are having with a new refrigerator. Just the inconvenience of having to keep calling & setting/waiting for tech appointments is a pia! We will . pursuing a new replacement refrigerator. We started by contacting the Better Business Bureau. Next will be another stop at SK Lavery...again!

I would much rather give them zero stars. I ordered a stove top and a double oven from them in June. I called them 6 weeks later to tell them our kitchen would be ready on a certain date and THAT is when I was advised that they couldn’t get the stove top! Bill advised me (stay far away from him) I could get it on Amazon! and they refunded my money. My kitchen will be completed THIS THURSDAY 10/21 and JUST YESTERDAY I called to confirm the delivery date and THAT is when they told me the double oven was “severely” damaged! Had I not called them on both occasions, I would have been screwed! Stay far away from these fast talking, over promising, under delivering, under communicating, stress-you-out salespeople!

We bought an LG three years ago, my better half was adamant that we go to SK.four months ago, there was ice buildup, parts were ordered.I needed a reliable freezer because my kidneys were failing and food preps important.Tonight, I threw a burger in a pan. Went back to the freezer and noticed melted food. I received a transplant three weeks ago and I am on 21 meds.Had to throw out week and half worth of food. Thankfully, I did not eat warm meat, it could have killed me. I am fighting every day to get better and maybe I am pissed with myself for taking my eye off the ball for a minute.This unit should work, to have warm food twice in 4 months is crazy.We wasted 1900 on a unit that could not even make it 4 years.I will contact LG in there am between 4 appts.They will pass the buck, no one is responsibleUndoubtedly we will have to go and buy another unit that works. Health over money

Good appliances but as stated in other reviews, this place certainly needs to train its employees better. Some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life. Everything was good once the manager got involved but that should not have been required had the sales people just done their job.

I ordered a dishwasher from SK Lavery. We picked up the dishwasher and brought it home. We intended to do the installation ourselves. When we opened the box we discovered there was no installation instruction package. Therefore we were not able to install the dishwasher ourselves. I called SK Lavery that day and specifically told them that. The install instruction package should come with installation parts (being an appliance store you would think they would know that. The sales person's answer that day was "you can get the install instructions on line", nothing about the necessary missing parts). When the installers arrived they did not come with the missing installation package parts. They were therefore not able to complete the installation. They had to reschedule and come a second time causing me to block out more of my personal time. The manager I spoke to regarding this issue was rude and tried to blame me, the customer, for the missing package. He did not offer any compensation for the problem created by the missing package. I would never do business with SK Lavery again. I would not recommend them.

The team at SK Lavery in Newington is incredible! Love doing business with them. Their customer service never wavers, and is always 5 stars in my book. I've got high standards when it comes to customer service and they KNOW how to make their customers happy

Delivery and installation was very efficient and professional for the GE side-by-side refrigerator. I ordered the fridge and it was delivered within 5 days for a competitive price. The delivery staff were so skilled and tidied up after the installation. I would definitely buy from S.K Lavery again!

An overall excellent experience!!My mom's stackable washer /dryer stopped working... she's 93, still independent, but doesn't drive! So my husband and I went to find a replacement. Stopped at a local 'general retail' store and soon realized they were not really focused in on what we needed; the woman who helped us was friendly, but not particularly knowledgeable about their products. We knew this store could not provide the type of personalized service we wanted for my mom.Long story short, we next went to S K Lavery in Newington. Exceptional service!! Jeremy helped us; he quickly narrowed down the choices we had given the size / type restrictions. We completed the purchase, and he scheduled delivery... He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He made good use of our time which is appreciated.Delivery went off without a hitch!! Even though the delivery guys encountered an issue with the install and had to call the landlord which took some time for him to arrive. They were patient, professional and my mom was very pleased with them! They took the old unit away, installed the new one and we could not be happier with the overall fantastic service we received from SK Lavery and their staff. Special thanks to Jeremy!! We will always recommend you whenever we have a chance to do that!!

We bought a Speed Queen dryer from SK Lavery. While it was under warranty, it stopped working. Though it got hot enough, it would not maintain the heat long enough to actually dry the clothing. We called SK Lavery to try to get them to fix it under the warranty as they are an authorized Speed Queen repair service provider. SK Lavery was not interested in helping us. We had to go through another Speed Queen authorized repair service provider. Unfortunately, they were not able to fix the dryer. So, now I have a busted $800 dryer. Thanks for nothing SK Lavery.

Will definitely shop here again! I was helped by Chad and he showed me all different options and explained to me different pricing options, etc . I was unsure what I wanted to be honest . I came in looking , and ended up leaving with a new refrigerator ! Chad was awesome ! THANK YOU !

Customer service is incomparable!!!! I regret not purchasing my new stove from S.K. Lavery. There was a sale at a big chain store where I purchased it. There was confusion about what model was delivered (glass or porcelain) and what the difference in functionality was between the two. I was on the phone with a manager at the manufacturer (Frigidaire) for over an hour and it was a horrible experience. They did not have basic answers - even with the model number - and their tone was very condescending. S.K. Lavery used to be in West Hartford near my house so I decided to give them a shot. They answered every question I had in less than 5 minutes AND had the model in stock for $20 less. I will only buy appliances from them moving forward. THANK YOU WILL!

I have worked with SK Lavery for years through my business and for personal purchases. Our sale rep, Kevin, is fantastic. Very quick to respond to calls or emails. Customer service is great. The only negative thing I can say is the delivery time in slow even with in stock items. The delivery personnel are friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this company.

I'm dealing with the Newington store, Kevin is our sales person. We ordered our appliances 10/2020 with a 50% down & still do not have our appliances.He doesn't return phone, nor keep us up to date. The one time we did get a delivery the communication was poor. We were told certain appliances were being delivered & different appliance arrived. The delivery person was rude, derogatory & demanded money with no communication ahead. The delivery person & sales people were placing blame on each other. Simple communication was missing. I'm extremely disappointed with our service.
