“United Tire has excellent reviews on Google, surprised to see only one review here. Anyway, I had just bought a new(er) car from a place I didn't quite trust but I was in a tight pinch. Two weeks after buying my car, the alternator went. I had just enough battery life to get me home from work. The car was seconds from dying as I backed it into my parking spot at home. I called a place nearby, they quoted me $479 for the repair, which did not include a tow. He said they don't do towing. So I called a few places and found a business nearby, the guy told me the tow would be $100-120. Making the total for tow and repair $579-599. He asked me where to tow it and I told him. He said his father owned a repair shop nearby and could probably do the repair that day. I was initially hesitant, but ultimately agreed, as small, family owned shops tend to be cheaper than the big boys. The drawback was they can be slower. In this case, that was true. They towed my new(er) car at about 8am on a Friday morning and I was told it would be fixed that day. It wasn't. I called shortly after they opened Saturday morning and they hadn't begun the repair...but he assured me the car would be ready before the end of the day. I called back right around noon and he said it was ready, to come pick it up anytime. Great news! I got a ride to the shop and they were pretty busy with what seemed to be happy customers. I had to wait like 20 minutes, no big deal. They finally gave me my total for the repair AND the tow. $420 out the door. Wow! Okay! One thing auto repair guys are used to is people grunting, grumbling, and groaning over the cost of repairs. When a customer smiles with glee and gladly forks over $420, it makes them happy. I told them they saved my neck and I could now get to work on Monday. They also saved me about $160-180. To top it off, I told them my car was still under 30 day warranty from the place where I bought it. I could have gotten the repair done FOR FREE but I opted to pay $420 (or a possible $599) instead. Why? Trust. You can't put a price on trust. The car has been running great ever since. Next time I need a repair, these guys will be at the top of my list.”
“I had an incredible experience with this truck tire repair company last night, and I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. We recently had a flat tire on our limo bus, and we were in a bit of a jam. I called their after hours, and from the moment Joanna picked up the phone, I knew we were in good hands. I relieved the chauffeur and was there personally when Mike arrived to repair the flat tire on a cold, rainy night. I must say that Mike was absolutely fantastic at his job. They immediately made our company vendor list for future needs. Thank you!”

“These guys are smart and fast. Without even applying soap water or anything, the guy said my tire has 2 nails. I was able to find one but couldn’t find the other one, even after looking at my tire for 10-15 mins until he pulled it out?. Patched the tire in less than 5 minutes and I back on road. Would be my to go spot for tire works from now on”

“I called Elm City Auto Wrecking On April 27th 2023 spoke with Brian to get a quote on selling our Vw Passat and on top of him being polite and professional he came back with a Very reasonable cash offer that I agreed to and had a immediate service to pick up the car and the driver came with in an hour to flat bed it away.I would highly recommend Elm City to anyone that wants a reasonable offer and not a ridiculous low ball offer just be sure you Catalytic Converter is intact on your vehicle and you should be good to go.”
“Had tires installed the team was extremely knowledgeable. They were able to inform me just by the wear on my tires that my alignment was off and some suspension components were no longer working as intended. While explaining this to me I was offered to go out into the shop so they could visually show me as they explained what was bad and why so I could fully understand. I don’t trust my car in anyone’s hands but this shop may have just persuaded me to see that differently. They changed all 4 tires and balanced them I was in and out. The car felt brand new with the tires they recommended to me. Thank you(let’s see if I get this right) Vaughn, Summer, Gustavo, and Gabe what an amazing experience it was coming to your garage! “Amazing people and mechanics! My car started shaking while driving on 95 south towards Jersey. Fortunately, I got off the exit and found Whip It Tire. They had just opened. Ed was at the front desk and calmed my nerves. He called in his mechanic to come in earlier for me. In less than 2 hours, they had new parts for my car and I was back on the road and on the way to see my parents. Very accommodating and so pleasant! They saved my day. Highly recommend this shop!”
