I had never been there before, but they were the first place (after calling a few others) who said, “Bring it in right now and we’ll figure out a way to squeeze you in.” Not only did they immediately fit me in and fix it, they refused to charge me. I brought in my 2003 Nissan Frontier after weeks of trying to chase down a check engine light issue myself. I had already replaced the O2 sensors, cleaned the MAF, and checked wiring — but the light kept coming back.
Jay at Howie’s Electric quickly diagnosed a bad ground and a faulty catalytic converter, both of which were causing the sensor readings to throw codes. He explained everything clearly, fixed the ground issue properly, and replaced the cat. After that, the truck ran perfectly and passed emissions with no problem.
Jay is a total professional — sharp, honest, and super thorough. The whole shop runs smoothly, and you can tell they actually care about fixing the problem right.
