“This is not an IMAX theatre even though it came up in a google search. It is how ever an XD theatre which I would say is the next best thing. Downside seating starts far too close to the screen for me to be able to watch from first 3 to 4 rows. Farther back the better. Keep that in mind if you book ahead or while picking seat when buying tickets. Stadium seating, very comfortable reclining chairs, excellent sound system. nice and clean. I watched Dune 2 simply fantastic.”

“I live outside of DC and go to a number of Michelin star restaurants… I will flatly say I have had meals that equalled Union League but never one that exceeded it. Couple in their very reasonable pricing, gorgeous building, great staff and this place is extraordinary. I will be visiting my sister in Milford more often in the future :-)!”

“Amazing wedding venue. The staff and service was spot on from our first communications to all the way through the wedding night. The food was also really delicious. Everyone went above and behind to make sure we were having a great time and being taken care of. Highly recommend!”

“I have nothing but amazing things to say about NHLC. It is a stunning venue and so unique with its art deco style. The food was delicious; we had nothing but compliments the entire night in regards to the service and staff. Christine and Karen are THE BEST. So incredibly helpful and truly know what they are doing; we had the best wedding and wouldn't change a thing. NHLC is above and beyond!”

“As a wedding professional and working in this industry now for about 8+ years I can tell you that we have worked with many venues across Connecticut and done hundreds of weddings all over the place. Owenego is one of our favorite venues to work with because the entire staff is super friendly and welcoming ( even to the vendors who are working the event, this is not the case with some of the other venues we have worked with unfortunately ), The grounds are so well cared for and maintained and the venue itself is beyond beautiful and sunsets are amazing!! If you're a couple who is considering getting married here I will tell you that you won't be disappointed!”

“I had my 40th birthday party there and I couldn’t be happier! The facility was clean and very attentive to my needs. I would definitely book with them again! I booked through Kim and she made the prices very simple and everything went smoothly.”

“Had a great time!! Did a date with my husband here, we bought the Groupon which was for shoes, 90 mins, and soda and chips. Very worth it when buying the Groupon. This is mini bowling the pins are smaller and so are the balls, like 3 pounds. You also have to keep score yourself with a pencil. This would be a great place for a kids party as they will have no trouble throwing the balls and there are bumpers on the lanes. This place opened in the 1950’s and hasn’t changed much except for the cool UV lights. I Would come here again!”

“My wedding reception was at The Foxon Country House then new came and renamed it. In either 2021 or 2022 they permanently closed it. Now it maybe replaced with chipotle, five guys, starbucks knocking down the original.”

“Greeted at the door with kindness and professionalism! Check in process was quick and easy. Loved the atmosphere and look of the hotel and the best part was the cleanliness of the entire hotel and room itself. The size of the room was perfect and the best part was no carpets! Hardwood/laminate flooring which is a millions times cleaner and healthier! Bathroom was huge and extremely clean as well. Good closet space, hangers, ironing table with iron, blow dryer and just about everything you would need. Highly recommend this place! One thing I will say is I wish they had slippers for the room, but that won't stop me from coming back or recommending to everyone!Rooms: Clean!!!!”

“The Schwarzman Center at Yale is a recent repurposing of two legacy buildings at the heart of campus: the Commons Dining Hall and Memorial Hall, easily recognizable thanks to its dome. It expands the two spaces so that they serve as a student center of sorts, with the goal of bringing community members together over dining, meeting spaces, and the arts.Besides the Commons and Memorial Hall, new spaces and venues include a convenience store, a dance studio, a 21+ pub, function facilities, performance spaces, public art galleries, and study nooks. When I ventured inside to grab a drink on a sunny, warm day spent exploring campus, I found the space vibrant and well-trafficked, particularly in newer eateries with communal seating. The Commons itself, however, appeared to be a grab-and-go affair either due to ongoing Covid measures or due to renovation.Given that it was a nice day, however, students were more likely to head outside than linger indoors.”

“This is More than a dance studio! Its a community center for the arts. They offer a wide variety of culturally focused dance classes. Even their fitness instruction is routed around dance and culture. The studio has a community family feel. They don't just dance but also create a safe place for kids, and women to grow artistically and personally. There is a strong focus on community, supports, positive socialization, and self care. This is more than a place to learn to dance, this a community. Never any pressure to perform. Non competitive approach to dance and art.”

“Really nice venue. Not a bad seat in the house, even from the balcony. They lose a star because the staff were a bit pushy. You can talk to people like they're people, not livestock. It can happen. Try it.”

“I had driven by Sitar for about 7 months now and finally decided to give it a try on a rainy day. I am an avid Indian food lover so whenever there is an opportunity to add a new Indian restaurant to my rotation, I take the chance. When we stepped in there were no patrons inside but there were quite a lot of doordash orders being picked up - glad they are doing well on that front. We sat down and ordered lamb samosa, regular naan, chicken vindaloo, lamb rogan josh, a masala chai, and a thandai. The food exceeded my expectations and was one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in CT. The vindaloo was perfectly hot and seasoned, the lamb rogan josh packed all the seasoning in there that I craved. It overall was great!”

“My buddy and I played today and were pleasantly surprised. Night and day from a couple years ago. Not only was the course in great shape (better than some expensive courses recently) but the staff was super nice and welcoming. Obviously still updating and in the middle of construction but you can tell it’s moving in the right direction. We’ll be back!”

“I ended up not staying here because the gym was out of service due to construction. This wasn't on their website. When I got there, the front desk person (Hysham-spelling, sorry) was incredibly sweet and helpful. Just can't say enough about that. This was a prepaid non-refundable room through a third party. He and I worked together - seamlessly - with the third party, and in 15 minutes, I had the money refunded. This was the closest location with availability to where I needed to be. I can't write about the rooms or anything else because I didn't stay. I can say that November is a beautiful time to enjoy the fall foliage in that area.”

“Me and my boyfriend had a good experience staying at Omni New Haven. We chose the hotel based on the location and liked the old charm of the building. We also got a pretty good price. Checking in was super easy and the hotel staff even gave us a list of restaurants which was very kind.We ran into some issues that were resolved (and some that weren’t worth resolving on site but should not really be issues in a 4-star hotel). They’re described in detail below.1. Be aware that the building is old and the HVAC system is not the greatest. We walked into our room and it was 85 degrees! Thankfully the hotel gave us a fan and showed us how to open the window vents (you can’t fully open the windows).2. Because the room was so hot there was a stinkbug in our room. Obviously not ideal.3. I love taking baths and unfortunately the tub stopper didn’t work. By the time I wanted a bath we had been in our room for a night and I didn’t want to move so I just dealt with it. On top of that there was a lot of paint chips on the tub which again, not to be expected in a 4-star reputable hotel. Some highlights of our stay:1. Customer service was excellent. Issues that could be addressed (like the heat) were addressed quickly and without any hassle.2. Delicious fruit water available at the front desk. I looked forward to it every morning.3. The restaurant is delicious and our server was excellent.Overall I would come back but the building as a whole needs some updating if they want to keep their 4-star status!Nearby activities: Yale University, New Haven MuseumWalkability: Perfect location. Close to restaurants, shops, and YaleFood & drinks: Barcelona Wine Bar for Tapas is a MUST”
