“In January, my 95 year old mother’s health began to fail rapidly. I live in NYC and my mother lived in her house in Conn. Helping and managing her care became all consuming. She died on May 24. My daughter was getting married in September and I had not even started thinking about shopping for my dress. It was not until July that I was able to even contemplate shopping. I was sad and dreading something that should have been joyful.When I walked into Helen Ainson, Holly took charge of helping me find a dress. Her kind, firm and no nonsense approach made me feel that “I could do this”, and that is exactly what I did. We found a beautiful dress, that made my husband, bride-to-be daughter and even me, smile. Scheduling the sessions with the seamstress, and being able to purchase all of the “day of” accoutrements, truly made this one stop shopping. I am so thankful for the way Holly helped me and the way she made me feel.”

Very nice owners and very engaging. Had a quick and simple watch fix that I was fine paying for but they were generous and didn’t charge me. “Went here on the suggestion of a neighbor. I went one day myself to look at wedding bands and was helped by Nanette. I told her I wasn't sure what I wanted but had a few ideas. She was extremely friendly and helpful and let me look at/try on many styles. She then told me if I had pictures of ideas to email her son, Michael, who is the gemologist and he could either bring some things from their Manhattan location or custom design something for me. Once I narrowed down what I wanted, I emailed Michael with a few photos. He responded that he had a few similar in Manhattan and that he would bring them to Rye. I then made an appointment to see Michael and the rings with my fiancé. One of them was perfect and so I chose that (white gold with 3 small baguettes) and then Michael helped my fiancé choose his band (black tungsten). We were treated with patience and courtesy every time, in person and over email or the phone, and the jewelry is great quality. My now husband and I will be back for other jewelry needs in the future! Thank you to everyone at Royal Jewels of Rye!”
