Bob is a wealth of knowledge on the subject, but he can help you select the right equipment. The Darien Orvis offer a Fly Fishing 101 and 201 course. These courses were so helpful in the beginning. When I went to Wyoming, Bob again helped me make connection to find the right outfitters in the area for a great fly-fishing trip on the Snake River. Lately, Bob has helped me select new equipment for my trip to Belize to Tarpon and Bone Fishing. This is no fish tail.”

“In January, my 95 year old mother’s health began to fail rapidly. I live in NYC and my mother lived in her house in Conn. Helping and managing her care became all consuming. She died on May 24. My daughter was getting married in September and I had not even started thinking about shopping for my dress. It was not until July that I was able to even contemplate shopping. I was sad and dreading something that should have been joyful.When I walked into Helen Ainson, Holly took charge of helping me find a dress. Her kind, firm and no nonsense approach made me feel that “I could do this”, and that is exactly what I did. We found a beautiful dress, that made my husband, bride-to-be daughter and even me, smile. Scheduling the sessions with the seamstress, and being able to purchase all of the “day of” accoutrements, truly made this one stop shopping. I am so thankful for the way Holly helped me and the way she made me feel.”

“I took a Foundations class with CeCe. It turned out I was the only one that night, which was a great first time trying it. Seems like classes are typically small anyway which is nice for personal attention. It was my first ever barre class and she was great to make sure I was getting the movements right and showing me possible modifications. She was so nice and with a warm attitude and it was a pleasant experience and I definitely felt like I got a good workout. Otherwise the studio was very clean, with ample parking when I went.”

I've shopped in many JmcL's but the Greenwich store was new to me.Two items I purchased had to be sent (shipping is free) from other locations, and the third item required alterations. The clerk pinned the pants and ordered a rush delivery before my vacation 5 days later.JmcL styles are very flattering to women of a certain age and I keep buying the Maisie pant and signature tee in various colors. I do wish, however, that they made more items in jewel tones instead of mostly pastels, which are great in Florida but less so in New York.”

“While in Greenwich last week, I stopped by the Lilly Pulitzer store. This store sells mostly clothing and accessories for women and little girls. The Lilly prints are the brand's signature. It's generally, very bright colors with pinks, greens and blues, these prints are very summery. I like the fall and winter collection that's currently in the store, which embraces more jewel tones. Going into a Lilly store isn't an everyday occurrence for me, since there's only three stores in all of Connecticut. You have to truly love what you're getting from a Lilly store, an acrylic (which isn't my favorite material) sweater will run you $118. The store is beautiful and their staff is lovely.”

“Although this store is much smaller than the one in Greenwich, the service is absolutely amazing. When I walked in I was greeted by the staff immediately. Justine knows that it's my very first time there, he quickly shows me where everything is. He also pointed out the sales items. I took an item to the fitting room to try it on. Justine checked with me if the shirt fits and offered to bring me a slightly larger one. While he was ringing up my item, I described one item that I like from the store and he immediately helped me to look for it, although he couldn't my size. The customer service in this store is undoubtedly superb.”
