“My 2 night stay in December 2023 was a good one. While the property is showing its age, they were beginning a property-wide remodel on the day I checked out. Upon arrival, the doorman and the front desk were courteous and helpful. As a Hyatt Globalist, I was upgrade to a suite, which was huge. The room was somewhat dated but clean and in good shape. Based on the remodel projection pictures, this hotel will be fantastic once the remodel is complete. I'd stay here again, even before the remodel. It'll be 5 stars once remodel is complete.”

“Great location if you are looking to stay near Stamford or Greenwich. The room was nice, we booked a king bed but they gave us a double. The entire middle room/lobby is under construction and we still paid full price. Would love to come back when the construction is complete. Our stay was definitely overpriced but would stay again when the construction is finished.”

“Very beautiful park, great sledding in the winter, great for walks, great variety in the scenery.The greenhouse/canopy/mansion area is just beautiful, very well maintained, the variety in the flora is beautiful.I usually go here with my family, either in the winter for sledding, or just to walk around with the dogs and get some fresh air with some good views.There are a few areas which are nothing but huge grassy fields and open space, which is great for going off leash if you’ve trained your dogs to not run off, playing sports, or even picnics.I love just walking around and taking in nature here, the aesthetics are really amazing, especially for photography!There’s a nice lake/river right at the bottom of the hill, behind the mansion, that just stunning on nice sunny/partially cloudy days.Dog-friendliness: Lots of wide open fields and grassy areas, as well as forested area that aren’t super dense, so you can still see your dog while they’re running around.The whole thing is surrounded by a fence, you’d be hard pressed to find it, since the property is so large, but it’s there. No need to worry about your pups getting lost and ending up somewhere dangerous.Perfect for your dogs if you like to take them off leash!”

“Whitby Castle in Rye, NY is the absolute best & most perfect place for a wedding & we very highly recommend it as your wedding venue! We got married in March 2024 on a Saturday afternoon at Whitby & it was better than we ever could have imagined thanks to the breathtaking venue & all the amazing managers & staff. We looked at 10 wedding venues in Tri-state area before finding Whitby, & we knew we had to get married there the minute we saw it. First was the gorgeous castle & grounds (flawlessly manicured lawns on Rye Golf club & striking views of LI Sound), & how the venue provided accommodations for all weather types. Next was the wedding package, which included everything needed & was the best price for all options; we couldn’t find a better price anywhere.From our first meeting w/ Niki, the Catering Sales Manager at Whitby, we knew we made the right choice. Niki handled everything w/ the venue throughout the process, including catering, vendors, amenities & all options available through Whitby. Niki took the time to get to know us & thoroughly explained the numerous elements to consider when planning our wedding. She made us feel as if she genuinely cared about us & our wedding (because she did). We later met w/ the Ops Manager, Ralph, about 3 weeks before the wedding & he was just as awesome. Ralph had all the particulars laid out for every aspect of our wedding & provided a comprehensive timeline & wedding plan. Niki & Ralph were incredibly professional & knowledgeable, & also exceedingly responsive & accommodating.Weather was no concern on our wedding day because of how Whitby operates. They have complete & functional outdoor heating throughout the wraparound patio that hosted much of cocktail hour, despite it being high 50°. We had wonderful sun on morning of our wedding, but it was windy & our ceremony would be on colder side in afternoon. We did not want our guests to sit in the cold, so we had an indoor wedding, & it was beyond stunning. The magnificent arch windows in the reception hall gave us astonishing light & scenic views for the ceremony. Regardless of weather, they set up for both options, to have our wedding inside or outside. We thought this was amazing considering how unpredictable weather can be. Some venues tend to have multiple weddings to maximize space, but we appreciated that Whitby treated us as the main event.In addition to astounding views & spectacular customer service, the entrées & various food courses were outstanding. I am not sure which our guests raved about more, the delectable food or marvelous views. We also have nothing but phenomenal things to say about Rosa, the bridal attendant at Whitby. Rosa was exceptionally attentive & helpful throughout the day. Niki, Ralph, Rosa, & our maître d', Gabriel, were all extremely organized & prepared for every scenario. There were so many moving parts & minute details involved in our wedding, but Gabriel was so on top of everything & made it a day to remember. The service was impeccable & all Whitby staff were tremendously kind & helpful. Nearly all our guests told us how it was not only the most beautiful & fun wedding they have ever been to, but the best party. Whitby gave us a wedding beyond our dreams. We couldn’t be happier w/ our wedding & we know it was all because of the venue & their fantastic team. “The Bartlett Arboretum definitely made my day trip to Connecticut more interesting and enjoyable!I was surprised to discover there was a combination of dirt trails along with open green areas, a nice mix between mystery and serenity. There is a bridge over a stream winding its way through the rocks as the birds chirp in the distance. I felt at peace as I was accompanied by my boyfriend and protected by the tree cover.Two neat aspects of this arboretum were the lamb's ear plant and the prehistoric Redwood tree! I never would have thought these interesting living organisms would be at a small Arboretum in Stamford. I truly felt like I was in a special place-- nature in its purest, original form outside of modern day's creation and the chaos that arises from it. If you are a nature lover, or simply looking for a scenic environment to think and experience a sense of peace, come to Bartlett Arboretum!”

“Recently, we had our family reunion at Serafresca at the IC and the venue was perfect for our gathering of 150 family members!In addition to the gigantic tent, the outdoor facility included room for games, volleyball, a basketball court, and even bocce courts. “We recently had our wedding here and I cannot say enough good things.-To start, John and his team went above and beyond to ensure the most perfect day possible. John was incredibly helpful leading up to the wedding in our correspondence, and in person in our planning meetings he was beyond helpful and had great insight. Our bridal attendant Abbey was a delight, the staff (from the valet to the servers) were absolutely wonderful. Our friends and family raved about the attention to detail in service, as well as the food.-Now for the food- I am a bit biased but without a doubt the best wedding food I have ever had, and our guests have been non-stop raving about it as well. Everything was fresh, lots of seasonal & dietary choices, and truly delicious.-This venue may not be for everyone stylistically, but it is truly like walking into a fairytale at night and the vibes were above and beyond what we were hoping for. It feels like you're walking into a small scale "Newport Mansion" type home with plenty to see, and the dining room and dance floor had just the right amount of "new" yet rustic feel to not seem out of place.We could NOT have been happier with this venue and I have received non-stop compliments from every guest raving about the uniqueness, the service, and the food. Everyone we know has said this might have been the best wedding they'd ever been to--- and we credit that all to John and the Coindre Hall Team. “We got married 11/4/23 at Soundview and had such an amazing experience with Soundview. When beginning the venue search we knew we wanted a waterfront venue with an outdoor space for the ceremony and a suitable indoor option in case the weather didn't cooperate. We fell in love with the stunning indoor and outdoor views and the fact that they host one event at a time was also a MAJOR plus for us. During the wedding planning process, Brittany was easy to get in touch with, super organized, and quick to answer any questions I had. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Our guests are still raving about the food and talking about how beautiful the venue was. Diego made sure everything ran smoothly, and Taryn our bridal attendant went above and beyond helping out our photographers, and made sure my husband and I had cocktails. “I have been here several times with largo groups of family, coworkers, and small groups of friends. I always like the food-never got anything we didn’t enjoy! My favorites are the salad pizzas and the meatballs appetizer. Always good drinks, too! The place is spacious and bright and the staff is always friendly. The ONLY reason for 4 stars is that the service seems to be consistently a little slow. So don’t be in a hurry, I guess, because I quite enjoy this place & it has something on the menu for everyone!”

“I had a Sweet 16 party about 3 month ago, when I spoke with the manager from the venue he was very kind, we estimated how many adults could attend because alcoholic beverages you should pay per adults, so I started paying the venue each two or four month and finally on the same day of he party I had to pay for alcohol depending on how many adults came to the party. At first we signed a paper with a estimated 40 people, in the end of the party I had just 20 people but but he changed me has 40 adults people behaved badly wit me , the manager said many things and when the party ended he didn't comply, he also told me that I can use the kitchen for warme up the food later on the same day of the party he said the the kitchen does not include. Just be very careful what you sign he promises a lot and at the moment of truth he is a liar.”
