“We happened to be in town visiting friends and decided to go have a bite to eat. We came upon this area which had plenty of restaurants, small businesses and a green. As we walked the area we came across this shop and my girlfriend decided to stop in just to take a look. They had many stylish blouses, dresses and pants. Plenty of options available and the prices were very reasonable. My girlfriend definitely Liked many of the things they had.”

“Ordered a Jellycat online that was very difficult to find anywhere else. I figured there was a chance they didn’t have it in stock anymore, but I gave it a shot. Within a few days of placing my order, they refunded my payment and sent me an email explaining the item was discontinued and out of stock. The promptness of the refund and the gesture of the email were both so wonderful! Incredible customer service and clearly reliable for online orders. :-)”

“I was surprised with the assortment of clothes from which to choose from and i liked the quality.The store clerks were very helpful and friendly.I managed to buy an 80 dollar item for 15 dollars and i had 10 in rewards!I was shocked frankly i only paid 5 dollars!They always have deals of some kind in the store and online.My biggest issue was the mall itself. There were just men who were meandering around the mall and it made me feel a bit uneasy.At the Waterbury Mall, the Torrid store is downstairs and to the right as you go through the Main entrance.Like most malls, Waterbury has lost 2 anchor stores, Sears and Macy's and it is a shame! We frequented both.I avoid the malls now, but i did enjoy my trip to Torrid.”

They helped me try a variety of sizes and also ordered the size I needed in the color and style that I wanted it. While I was there some “regulars” came in based on how they were acknowledged by name, which added to the overall positive feeling of shopping there. The store was orderly and clean. “I've always loved Bob's stores since I found them in Danbury. Haven't been in a Bob's since Danbury closed a few years ago. Now that I'm working in the Waterbury area they are all over the place. Went in just to browse for a few minutes, didn't buy anything today. Lots of great deals going on between clearance and other promotions. They also have their loyalty program which earns your money back. The store itself is a little dated, but still a pleasant experience.”
“Unique bright and cute clothes with awesome staff members. Store is a bit dingy, but makes up for it with a pretty wide selection of cute stuff with mad cheap prices. Large plus size selection (14-24) which was super nice. All four things I bought including a dress fit me which is SUPER rare (Size 18-20). Very happy, will stop in again.”

“Not sure if I just didn’t hit it right but it was 70% off which- ok that’s a great deal. When you first walk in you’re about to have a heart attack but after hours of pulling through boxes and flipping through clothing racks, you might be disappointed. Just selection wise I didn’t find much. Mostly UO and FP. I was hoping I’d find more Anthro clothes but there was hardly any. As other reviews mentioned, if there wasn’t an additional % off price, not sure if it’s necessarily the best deal. But if you’re in the area it’s worth a try.”
“Based on the recent news I was expecting JCP to look like an Out of Business sale with yellow signs everywhere. Apparently not. The store was business as usual. I went on a day where they were offering a discount on kids clothing (unmarked). I ended picking up (3) JoJo Siwa bows for less than the price of (2). The mall was dead compared to pre-covid so that helped with shorter checkout lines at JCP. I was able to find everything I was looking for and the cashiers were very helpful. I only wish that they better displayed the sale they were having on JoJo Bows. If I didnt happen to price check them I would of never known that they were on sale.”

“I will never forget around the summer of 2021, approximately, when things were getting back to normal, somewhat, this store stood out for a major reason. While all other businesses were sporting all types of warning signs with rules and regulations (and not enforcing them, by the way), Old Navy had a wonderful sign that simply said "All Are Welcome".
