I was recently at this location for emissions testing. I have been a Firestone customer for a while, having exceptional service for an alignment, not at this location but another in CT.
My SUV is modified for car camping, cross country adventures, whatever you throw at her she will deliver. I have a cabinet behind the driver's seat, there is a wire shelf with a Dometic USB water faucet located on it. It is set up for my height, but there is only a few inches of seat adjustment, perfect for me but would end up tight for someone well over 6 plus feet tall.
Well, I came out after the testing, and the first thing I noticed was my seat cushion thrown on the passenger seat. I have a little memory foam cushion I sit on for added comfort as I have 4 severely herniated discs.
I look behind the seat as I know that the seat could never go back that far, and I find the wire shelf crushed!, but I'm very fortunate that it was only a $10.00 shelf and not the $100.00 Dometic water tap.
I believe this was the part of the emissions tester and not the Firestone staff, just overall disrespect for people's property.
First, it's not your vehicle, you treat it with care, if you move the seat, put it back, if you move the cushion, put it back, if you hear metal crushing, you see what that is?, hopefully this person becomes more aware of his surroundings and starts to treat other people's property with respect.
I'd say, go to Firestone, but not for emissions testing at this location. Only gave 2 stars based on this problem and hope they can bring the stars up in the future.

DO NOT GO HERE! They push unnecessary service on customers, damage cars, and don't stand by their work. Okay for tires but find a reputable independent shop for maintenance work - even oil changes. This place cannot (I repeat cannot) be trusted.

Great service, always accommodating to your needs. I asked for same day service and it was a yes , next day service was always a yes. Highly recommended ??

I'm a repeat customer of the Plainville location.
They have been always been super respectful and maintain wonderful customer service. They explain everything to me in layman's terms. They also show me the before and after repairs on my vehicle and give recommendations for things that can be done in a more cost efficient manner either by myself or someplace else. Most of the time I'll pay the higher price b/c of their transparency and the assurance of a job excellent done.

Full tune-up and complete brake change done at a reasonable price. They provided me with a quote prior to completing the work and didn't add any unexpected additional charges as some places do. Highly recommend.

I had an amazing experience this last Friday at Firestone in Plainville. The manager “Brandon” and his crew were nothing but kind and informative towards me. This is a great team and a great location that I would recommend to my family and friends. I will be back again.

Absolutely have complete trust in the Plainville Ct Firestone business. They have managed the care of my car since arriving back to CT in 2016. My car is almost 19 years old and the are doing the utmost to help me prolong my car Couldn’t ask for better mechanics. Absolute faith in these men

Ron Gagnon & the Mechanic’s that work for him are the best! I’ve done to Ron for 15yrs. He is always very professional and friendly and more importantly he is honest and trustworthy. I have dealt with other places that took advantage of me. So when I found someone that was honest and a great mechanic, it was a no brainer. Not only did he not over charge me for stuff I didn’t need done. He actually saved me from spending money on a new car when I thought my car wasn’t worth fixing. He checked it out throughly and said it was well worth fixing and did just that. I have referred family members and friends and the have had great results also.

I drove into the parking lot with what seemed like an emergency with my car's starter, and also, it turned out to be battery trouble ( needed a new one) , and Joe, at the Service desk, and the mechanic who discussed my car's diagnoses with me, were very helpful and caring the other day. Jane.
