As someone deeply embedded in community engagement and leadership, I was initially drawn to UBI Federal Credit Union due to CEO Edward Bohnwagner's vocal commitment to community values and transparent financial governance. However, my recent experience has left me questioning the integrity of these declarations. I had an issue concerning a late payment from 2019, which, according to UBI, was adequately communicated to me. When I challenged the veracity of their claims, they presented incomplete evidence that did not prove successful delivery of said communication. While this may seem like an isolated incident, it raises critical questions about the organization's commitment to transparent and accurate financial reporting. This, juxtaposed with Mr. Bohnwagner's vision for UBI, creates a dissonance that potential members should be aware of. I earnestly believed that under Mr. Bohnwagner's stewardship, UBI would stand out as a pillar of community engagement and financial propriety. I find it disheartening to witness a gap between this vision and the operational realities of UBI, especially when it affects individual members like myself. For an organization that touts its community engagement, it's alarming that such basic elements of customer service and legal compliance appear to be in question. I encourage the community to exercise due diligence and hold UBI accountable for aligning its operations with the lofty ideals it propagates. This is not merely a reflection of my individual experience, but a call for increased scrutiny to ensure that the credit union lives up to the standards it has set for itself.

There’s a lot of one stars here, I been a member for years. Once in a blue moon the service is not great, I gave a 5 star review, because for the most part service is good.Carlo

Charge me to open an account that I was going to deposit hundreds of thousands into?Some staff need to be retrained then. I said "we have to pay you to open an account?" Teller responded yes, so we took our business to Webster.

Unprofessional and rude! They have a lot of 1 stars for a reason. Save yourself the stress and headache and go elsewhere.I have an auto loan with this bank because it was $20 cheaper than my personal bank...big mistake. I saw the reviews after my loan was opened. By then it was too late.First: I went through the dealership where I did all my paperwork and supplied my license that was due for renewal 2 weeks later. Dealership said I was all set I drove off the lot with my car. 3 weeks go by and I get notification that they denied my loan. The dealership is calling saying the bank won't approved my loan due to my license being expired. I explain to them that my license was already renewed and I hadn't received it in the mail yet. They claimed I had to submit the renewed license and would not accept the confirmation letter from DMV. I've never had any bank do something so ridiculous. My license was valid at the time of my loan application which they initially accepted and approved.Second: They call me to give me my account number instead of giving me a bill. Why????.....ummmm send me a bill like normal banks do.Third: Just spoke this a women there explained to her that I was trying to make a payment for my auto loan online and there was a charge even though I was early on my payment. She claims they charge a fee wether it be online and calling in to a representative as a convenience fee. We go back and forth and she takes the phone away from her ear to tell someone else there that I'm apparently pissing her off before placing me on hold. Apparently she thought I was on hold... Unprofessional, learn to place people on hold before talking nonsense. I speak to the manager Yuri and she sounds like she doesn't even want to do her job.

Liars. And straight up scumbags. Paid off my loan and they reported to the credit bureau that I was 60 days late, the last month if a 5 year loan. Now my credit dropped 80 points. Now I can't even get a loan from a real company.

We did a drive through deposit and asked for a few envelops. At first teller pretended she couldn't hear me then she brought 1 envelope. I asked for a few more stating.theres never any outside at ATM. The ? Manager came over and said that's all we have. We have to print more. I asked when that would be....not sure she said. I SAID this is no way to run a bank, ill be taking my account elsewhere, the teller looked back and put her hands up like SO WHAT. manager walked away with the teller leaving the drawer out open. I had to push it in so I could leave. The teller on the 2nd line for tube drive through just shook her head. We went to the ATM STILL NO ENVELOPES.

I never had an issue until my very last payment on my car. I called last month to make sure I didn’t have to do anything different. The man I spoke with assured me that they would withdrawal the last payment. And then mail me the title. He even told me a lower amount that what I normally pay monthlyWell 2 days ago, UBI withdrawals the full amount of my car payment. It’s only a difference of $25. But now I have 2 overdraft fee cause I budgeted for a different amount.I called and spoke with URI and was told that they would be mailing out the difference on Monday to me. But as for the overdraft fees. They won’t refund them. She stated she did talk to the staff member. He did confirm he told me the wrong information. And then she said sorry.I am so angry right now. I’ve been paying this loan for 5 years and this is how I am treated on my very last payment. They admitted they told me the wrong info. It’s now costing me up to $100 for their mistake and I was told “Sorry”.NOT OK UBI, NOT OK!!!!!

The staff at UBI is friendly and professional. The entire experience over the past few years has been like what banking used to be long ago - Personal, attentive, helpful and caring. I guess you could say “the human factor”. UBI has helped me when the big name banks would not. Their policies and procedures are much more customer centric and user friendly. UBI has always been there for me even when my credit wasn't so good!! They were very kind to me and my husband; where as other banks were degrading! When times got tough they were there to help with a solution!! Thank you for all you do and did for us!!

, no issues, friendly service, easy to expedite your needs , molly is great. Great bank. But they need more locations.
