“Wolcott Vet Clinic truly cared about my animals.
I noticed that my anxious dog, Bailey used to absolutely hate going but she slowly got used to it! She doesn't mind going to the vet as much!
My cat, Slim had been going there since I adopted him. He used to have bad FELV flare ups and they would always get him in within maximum a few days. Slim loved the vet techs and the vet! The receptionists new my cat by name, and I really appreciated that. My partner and I really appreciated Grant's compassion and honesty when Slim passed. They let me stay there with Slim the day he was struggling, in his last moments, until they closed. It was a really difficult day, and knowing that the person taking my passed fur baby was going to care and treat him with respect made it a bit easier.”
“We LOVE Country Companions!! All of our dogs have been patients there over many years. Your fur babies will get expert medical care at Country Companions! The staff is friendly, kind, and professional and the doctors are top notch! I almost don't want to share all this great stuff about them because I'd like to keep them all to myself!
But seriously, if you're looking for a great place where they really care for and about your pets, you'll find it at Country Companions!!”

“I have been trusting Middlebury Animal Hospital with all of my furry babies for well over 30 years. The level of care and compassion, not only for our pets but for us as well, makes all the difference. From serious medical issues to the times I was just being an overcautious pet mom, you have never let us down and always treated us like family. Even during the times of grief when we needed to say goodbye, the overwhelming empathy shown by your team made it less painful. Thank you for always going above and beyond!! ❤️❤️”

“The team here is so sweet, kind and patient with my dog every time we go. They really take their time to give her lots of love before the appointment starts and I feel that they just genuinely love the animals. They also are always available with any questions you have either during the appointment or just any time. They have great communication. I'm so glad that we chose them for my dog when we moved to the area.”
“My cat Quincy was seen for a wellness check and some concerns I’ve recently had. He is a new patient to Stone Veterinary Hospital and I was very, very pleased. The office staff was very pleasant and friendly. Dr. Ira Stone was extremely pleasant, patient and didn’t make me feel I was over worrying. He paid attention to me, keeping eye contact and explained everything thoroughly. He didn’t make me feel rushed or that I was taking too much of his time. Highly recommend!”
“My cat Daisy got spayed 2 days ago and she is doing wonderful. She wanted to play when she got home & She never exhibited any pain either ( No playing for a while tho) Staff is ex excellent!”
“I took my fur baby to this place not trusting to many of the vets out there . The young lady at the front desk with tattoos, I believe her name was Megan. She did such a great job answering my questions and calming not only me down but also my dog! He's not around other people much so he's anxious. Something about her reassured him I guess because he went right with her. She went above and beyond to make me feel better and comfortable. I knew I made the right choice 2 minutes into our interaction. Just wanted to say ty to her for going above and beyond her job description!”
“Amazing Caring and Loving doctors and staff. I would without hesitation, highly recommended anyone looking for the best care and love for their pets, or to some, their babies, Please give them a call.”

“Straight forward.. communication is on point!!!!?understanding thoughtful, patient, and they take their time with our babies. And their follow up is just as important to us as it is to them. Honestly I called them looking for a new vet mine was never available and I just needed to find a new one . Skeptical of course nervous.oh hell yeah ? half way through the visit I knew that I made the right choice and found Riley roo roos new vet. Their personalities are so easy going helps with easing our stress and the animals definitely feel the comfort also. Thanks for caring.?”
“Been with this clinic since Dr Cohen and we love Dr Mags and the office set up. He takes time with the animals which matters greatly to me. They’ve done a lot of work on the clinic and monitor the ‘traffic flow’ which is appreciated. We trust Dr Mags with my service dog’s health issues and my dog trusts him…and Alby. ;) Always awesome to have Alby around during visits. I think Alby has helped make the vet a positive place for my dog! :) I look forward to bringing future service dogs in training here to get some reassurance and training from Alby and a good positive vet experience with Dr Mags.”

“Love this place! Dr. Jackson is so nice and caring towards your pet! I highly recommend her! We also met Dr Petrera---great demeanor and so nice to our cats. Gave us some very good recommendations for cat care and feeding. Very convenient location and accommodating staff.”
“I have taken my dog Darla to Cheshire VCA since she was a puppy and I’m always grateful for the whole team there. All the vets and staff have always been nothing but friendly and accommodating. Over the years, my dog has had a few different things happen (I.e. she ate a bee and had an allergic reaction) and they always somehow squeeze her in to see her to help avoid the need to go to an emergency vet. They truly take such great care of their patients and their owners. Their prices are very fair and I’ve never had any hidden charges or felt like I was paying for anything unnecessarily. They give you options for care and help to explain things so well. My dog is very dog reactive and they’ve always happily helped bring her in, keep her calm and honestly she loves going in lol I think she knows “these are the people that help me always feel better!” lol the facility is also all updated/remodeled and always clean and welcoming.
Thanks Cheshire VCA!”
“Always respectful of your time and money as well as your pets health. We've taken all our pets here for 7 years now and haven't had anything but good experiences. It's very helpful that they have weekend hours as well.”

“NB: They charge a fee for the administration of booster vaccines administered by a tech, so there is a de facto surcharge of $12 to the cost. I don't like hidden fees, so while the doctors are awesome, always get an estimate here.”

“I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Stone. The staff and Doctors were nothing but caring and gentle with my Ella. She was a large and very nervous dog that would try to bite, however they handled her so well. The last vet I was at made me feel bad that she was like that. Not at Stone. They accepted her for the way she was. When it was time for her to cross the Rainbow Bridge the Techs and Dr AJ were so patient and gentle with her. Yesterday I received a card, handwritten, from Dr AJ sending her condolences and a little paw with seeds to plant to remember Ella. They also donated money to a charity in Ella's name. Beautiful. The business they used for cremation was wonderful as well. They sent her remains home in box I picked & it was put in a velvet bag along with an impression of Ella's paw and a Rainbow Bridge token. I am reading these other reviews and I am surprised at the accusations of price gouging. I never felt I was being charged too much. We have had dogs for almost 30 years and where I was taking them in the past was so much more expensive and the care for Ella deteriorated as she was difficult to handle. I hope Stone thrives and is around for a long time. Also I don't know why this is saying I'm from California! I live in Connecticut!!!”
“Dr. Dolcort is wonderful. Does not push for anything other than what is necessary. Is always so nice to my dogs and my littlest dog that I had to bring in yesterday is always a nervous wreck, and was surprisingly calm! This makes me feel so relieved that I have someone and somewhere I can trust bringing my dogs to. Also, when I went to pay, it was completely fair, not overcharged one bit! Highly recommend.”
“I had to take my sick 15 y/o cat in,unfortunately he had to be put down,i was so sad even the tech had tears they are warm, caring and so pleasant thank you for what you do!Sincerely,Tony allards mom cheryl”

“We've been going to Ridgehill Animal Hospital since 1997, so we feel we truly know this place well, and we're happy with the care given. We especially love Stacy at the front desk, she's kind beyond kind, and we love Dr. Moruzzi, she is a treasure, she's unbelievably knowledgeable, skilled, patient and kind. We adore her, she's taken care of our pets for almost ten years now. We just got a new puppy and she has given us excellent care as always. She made her spay surgery with hernia repair an easy experience and recovery for our puppy. She also took care of our love, our Coco, who was the best girl, she was a rescue, she was up in age, and Dr. DiLeone cured her Mast cell tumor, and later Dr. Moruzzi kept her well for years with Cushing disease, she also repaired Coco's knee with a TPLO surgery that was a complete success!! Sadly, yesterday at 15+, we had to say goodbye to our Coco, she developed a heart murmur that caused a stroke, it was time, a decision that broke us to make, we had to rely on a vet we didn't know, over the holiday week, but we have to give a huge thank you to Dr. Everett!!! She is incredible, she told us what we needed to know to make the right decision, she stayed with us through the whole process, she gave us time to grieve, to say goodbye as a family, and she did it with great knowledge, compassion and love. We will always be grateful for her, she was like an angel of mercy who walked into the room and held our hands through it all, making sure that our baby was given a graceful and painless experience as she went to the other side. She was held by her whole family, and had love and respect around her the entire time. We should all be so lucky to have a final send off like that!! Thank you to these angels for keeping our girl healthy and happy through the years, and thank you for helping her in the end too, the team at Ridgehill were part of protecting a beautiful life and we are grateful.”
“You couldn't ask for a smoother experience. The entire staff were so nice and caring. The cat's were in and out so less stress on them and the cost is really affordable.”
“09.27.24 Update: CJ now 14 1/2 yrs old and still running, swimming, and enjoying life. He occasionally furniture hops to avoid walking to & from the sofa to loveseat. We discourage but..his QOL is important and he has that.
I'm not it's the ultimate solution..
But it seems to have helped CJ adapt and adjust to changes in functioning that accompany aging in senior dogs.
He's definitely slowing down. Lost wt. down from 60lbs to 54 lbs.
Changes in activities- endurance, tolerance. Butno matter what he still wants to play. He'll sleep longer but be ready to go the next day.
Depth perception is poor with his vision. Impaired hearing. Heightened anxiety. Tbh He was high strung as a puppy. Took 3 hours of exercise daily release all his energy and anxiety. wants to be around family all the time. Now Wherever i take him to exercise and swim, he keeps close by.
He'll run back and forth- to me.
Pet owners know aging isn't kind and doesn't discriminate.
But Librela can alleviate the pain and accordingly improve or maintain the mobility and functioning for our pets.
Just my experience.
Ty for reading.
Original post: VCA Naugatuck extended the quality of life of my then 13 yr 8 month old lab mix. This translated to increased life expectancy. His Annual appt in Dec 2023. Morning of appt Cj went outside to do one of the daily things dogs do outside. Sudden onset of intense pain and extreme difficulty with mobility. Slow and painful to get back inside. Weighs 60 lbs too heavy for me to carry him back in.
VCA DVM SARA DUPRE informed me of new treatment for chronic pain like arthritis approved for use earlier in 2023. i knew even if this episode resolved it had high probability of recurrence.
Oral meds given daily can be a hit or miss for maintaining comfort. A dog instinctively my not show pain until it becomes intolerable and interferes with basic activities for example walking around indoors, toileting outside, getting up from floor.
I agreed to trial Librela. DVM SARA educated me on most current available information regarding usage, rates of success; common adverse effects along with most recent newly observed effects and cases of no-effect. I was able to make a well informed decision and felt comfortable to begin this monthly treatment. Day of initial injection CJ returned home had to be carried from car to living level of raised ranch. Placed on bed and didn't move position x 5 hours when son carried outside to void.
No appetite. This continued x 3 days.
Slowly began repositioning self, stairs still a challenge.
4th day- like NONE OF THE PREVIOUS 3 days had happened! Back to acting like a 13 month old dog, running, jumping
(our attempts to discourage these was met with obstacle (us) avoidance maneuvers! Had mixed reactions-feelings. INITIAL WAS WOW!
Followed by Amazement, gratitude and Awe! LIBRELA literally improving his QOL [Quality Of Life] 4 days after initial dose!
CJ'S response to feeling like himself again led to our thoughts and verbalizations of "Stop this nonsense! Will you grow up! you're going on 14 yrs old not 14 months!
I highly recommend this VCA location and encourage anyone who has older dogs with pain interfering with their normal activities to educate themselves and talk to their Vet about Librela. Ty to all staff at Naugatuck VCA for giving me more time with CJ and improving his QOL so much he's back to his normal playful behaviors he's had since puppyhood.”
