Had 9' and 16' Green Giants , 14' Hinoki's installed with some other items and transplanted shrubs AND cut down 6 large old pear trees. We drove about an hour from the Poughkeepsie, New York area because the website showed that an item we desperately needed was in stock. When we arrived, we couldn’t find it anywhere on the shelves, and we were worried we had made the trip for nothing.
Instead of simply telling us it wasn’t available, Ethan, Jeremiah, and Lorriene immediately jumped in to help. They searched thoroughly, checked every possible location, and never once made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. Even better, they made the entire experience enjoyable. Their positive attitudes, great sense of humor, and willingness to joke around with us turned what could have been a frustrating situation into one of the best customer service experiences we’ve ever had.
Their teamwork, professionalism, and genuine desire to help did not go unnoticed. It’s rare to come across employees who care this much about their customers, and they are a true asset to this Home Depot location.

“The business model/attitude has gotten much worse. I can't stand when I am in the store during the day and you constantly get kicked out of an isle so they can move pallets up or bring down. This stocking activity was always done at night. Now you have to wait while they do it during the day. Today I tried to get to the pvc trim and this is what I found. Talk about a hazard!”

The food truck in the Home Depot parking lot in Danbury is an absolute hidden gem. We stopped by “real quick” and ended up talking about how good the food was the entire drive home. Fresh, flavorful, and made to order — you can tell they take pride in what they’re serving.
The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and the service was friendly and fast. It’s the perfect reward after walking the aisles debating paint colors and power tools ?
If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and skip the drive-thru — grab something from this truck instead. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re picking up “just one thing” from Home Depot! ?✨”
