“We received excellent care at Griffin Health! Our dad required emergency care and an inpatient admission while visiting family in Seymour, Connecticut. From the moment we arrived in the Emergency Department through the entire admission process, the experience was outstanding for our 85-year-old dad and for our whole family.
Dr. Douglas Finefrock, the emergency room physician, went above and beyond to ensure our dad received the very best care. Thank you, Dr. Finefrock, for your exceptional compassion and professionalism.
The whole inpatient team was also exceptional!
We are also deeply grateful to Sharon Tallberg, the pharmacist, who spent so much time coordinating with the insurance company to make sure our dad had every medication he needed at discharge. Thank you, Sharon, for your dedication and kindness.

“Jennifer and her team are God sent. I began communicating with Jennifer at the end of December when I was trying to rehome my bonded pair of pitbulls after things changed in my life. She was very responsive, empathetic, and truly tried to help me make things work. She offered many suggestions and even offered to assist with food and toys.
Jennifer and her team treated my dogs like their own and helped me through a very difficult chapter with compassion and care. I will always be grateful for everything they did for us. “Love this thrift shop! Went for the first time last week to bring a donation & also went in the store. I was so impressed. The staff is wonderful & the merchandise is well displayed. Everything is so organized & clean. I made a purchase, of course....and I will now be a regular customer. It's great to make a purchase that benefits others.”
“Our first time here. What stood out was the kindness and positive energy. Even from other customers. Prices are excellent. Lots to choose from. A few employees took the time to tell us about their mission which my daughter and I support wholeheartedly! They also showed us around a bit and were so informative. “Chapel Haven enabled us to see how much independence (a lot) our son, Andy could achieve. They were never defensive when we challenged their assumptions, nor did they push back on our ideas. Just the opposite, they showed Andy (and us) how independent he could be: Living in a non affiliated apartment/condo, working at Home Depot, commuting back and forth including home completely independently. We no longer have to worry what happens to him if (hopefully) he outlives us.
He recently went with a group and climbed Mt Kilimanjaro without any staff from Chapel Haven nor us (his parents).That’s independence and his self worth has increased geometrically as well. None of this we could have dreamed of when Andy graduated from our high school.”

“We brought our Cub scouts to learn more about what the farm does. They had the kids pick fresh vegetables for the soup kitchen and taught them about the horses while letting them brush them. The kids had a great time.”

“Just adopted our new kitty from them and the experience was wonderful. They got back to us quickly after submitting the application, worked with our schedule to cover meet the cats, let us take our time with several cats and even walked or dog while we were inside with the cats. The staff was so friendly and their adoption price is very reasonable. We love our new big man! Highly recommend if you’re interested in adopting!”
