UBER DRIVERS BEWARE::I do not recommend getting a car from here if you are an UBER DRIVER. The lady that works in front was not truthful when I picked up the car. First, I called multiple times before picking up the car to ask if there’s any gas cars available. They said yes I should come in on Friday and I so I did. When I arrived I was told there are no gas cars available only EVs. Okay fine. I took the EV and I asked her if I can come in and change the car the following week, she said yes she will have cars available by then or if I can pick up a new car, gas car.I called on two days before as she has said to ask if I can come switch the car or come on to get a gas car , she tells there’s not cars available which pissed me off because why did she lie. She never put me on my account. I couldn’t go online, couldn’t get any help. What a total joke and waste of money and time. I am very pissed. Just wasted $415 for no damn reason. I was given the car on 50 miles and I returned it on 56 and I just got charged $35. They are so truthful. I’m waiting to see if they’ll mess up my credit card, with any unexpected charges, I swear to GOD!****i also think it is just impossible to use an EV in CT if you are a full time Uber Driver even if it’s part time . They just ripping people off. Unless if you have a home charger, you’ll just be wasting your money and time on charging it. The charging is around $20-$40 dollars depending on where you charging it. Most charging locations are always full. You have to wait an hour until the next one is available. Do yourself a favor and go to Avis. I’ve been with them for some time, never had any issues. I was just desperate when I went to Hertz. But lesson learnt.

Horrible Service I made Reservations Last night through AAA was a CONFIRMED reservation because of an emergency,TONYA Is her name and was just very rude so I went to pick up car refused to Give me the reservation ONLINE CLEAR AS DAY SAYS ACCEPT DEBIT CARD refused to also take my debit card so not only refused to give me a vehicle I reserved for an emergency they refused my debit card as well. Don’t waist your time GO TO ENTERPRISE!!!!!!!

Got charged for a recharge fee after I was told I wouldn’t as the electric car was given to me at %20. I returned it higher than it was received and was told I wouldn’t be charged if I did so. Such lies are unacceptable from a business.

This is among the worst rental car experiences I’ve had. The office is filthy, the people unfriendly, and the woman who initially rented the car kept complaining about her boss.Not only that but when I rented the car it had not been cleaned out, so I had to do that myself. Then upon return, they told me it would be a $400 cleaning fee because there was pet hair, so I ended up having to clean the car twice to avoid the charge.I would avoid this place at all costs in the future.

The office is filthy, the staff unfriendly and apathetic, and the woman who initially rented the car kept complaining about her boss.Not only that but when I rented the car it had not been cleaned out, so I had to do that myself. Then upon return, they told me it would be a $400 cleaning fee because there was pet hair, so I ended up having to clean the car twice to avoid the charge.Also I had pre-paid for a month but returned it two weeks early. The guy behind the counter said he may not be able to get it refunded so I called their 800 number and was able to do it right with no problems at all. Not sure if there is actually a problem in his system or if he was just trying to keep my money, but thankfully we got that one resolved. I would avoid this place at all costs in the future.

Made a reservation online. Called in the morning and they said they didn't have a car. The woman was so rude on the phone as well. I will be contacting corporate because there was no need for attitude or aggravation.

Charged me $437 for a "cleaning fee" for a car I had less than 6 hours and drove straight from one city to another and returned clean and with full tank. I wouldn't trust these people at all. I rent cars several times a year and have never had an issue with any of the other companies. Extremely shady behavior.

Returned a car here after and TWO weeks later I was charged $437 for a "cleaning fee". They made no attempt to inform me of the fee and I only noticed it while reviewing my credit card activity. I had the car for maybe five hours and drove straight from Philly to CT and returned it clean, undamaged, and with a full tank of gas. Extremely shady behavior. I would not trust this place.

My first time as a Hertz President’s circle member renting from this Hertz in Shelton and it was a nightmare. After my second visit to the facility, I decided to book a Tesla via the Hertz app. After booking the vehicle I had some questions regarding and upgrade and also wanted to know if the vehicle came with a home charging plug. During the phone call,the clerk (named Tonya) was very rude, she was kept trying to get rid off me without answering my questions. After multiple attempts to get assistance I was fed up. I asked for her name and she hung up on me. My office is 1 block away from the Hertz facility, when I got there I recorded the interaction between her and I. Her excuse was she was “frustrated”. So I guess I was her punching bag. I’m glad I got to record it so her superiors could see what their customers are going through. When I returned the vehicle, her manager said he didn’t know anything about the incident, she never told him. Well, here it is!

Great attitude by the women on phone over a simple question, I’m sure they are just as pleasant in person. If you hate your job leave, you represent Hertz. It is not hard to give a pleasant response to a pleasantly asked question. Within 30 seconds of a call I’m so turned off by attitude for NO reasons, no thanks I’ll go to Enterprise for the 2 weeks I need
