“When I first moved to CT ! It was so hard to find places that do money orders & when I did find a place they will be shut down by the next month . Here these people are great . ATM INSIDE . Very helpful & nice . Also great plaza to get other things you may need while out . Be cautious of area tho, lots of cops stay around & you get weirdos time to time that just jump out in front of you knowing there’s a car coming otherwise place amazing area needs some work . ?”

“Dave is awesome. Such a hard worker who being the sole employee along with being the owner as well, he never seems to let the stress get to him. He is a friend for the people in the community who is fair and tries to help others out. I've seen him loan a few dollars to someone for food and they seemed to have that type of trusting relationship where people would respect him and never try to scam him and always pay back. He gives everyone a chance and respects everyone but he always demands respect back, meaning he gives people chances and if they do him wrong or disrespect him or anyone else in his presence.He is a hard worker and he chooses to work solely as one man business while remaining positive and always happy which is hard to say for others who work as much as he does.He is always organized, tries to be as efficient and quick as he can be and is always very great to customers. He is never the type to be disrespectful, controlling or asserting power just because and instead everyone is treated the same and he tries to help everyone the same until he is disrespected which is few and far between because he is a for the neighborhood type guy and tries to make it more positive than be the local small business that no one likes, trusts or feels respected at.Thanks Dave your my guy!! I hope this world never changes who you are todayp. s. Edit after reading more: For all those claiming that Dave put us up to giving him a good rate, you are very wrong. I didn't even know this was on review and only found it to give my man Dave a call about a question. He has never nor needs to ever ask people for good reviews he gets them on his own. If you say he is nasty and mean, I honestly have to consider the other side of the story because I am there often and never seen that side of him even when most would get an attitude so I almost wonder what it was about the customer that caused such a negative reaction from the most laid back docile man I've met. Self reflection may be lacking in those cases and I'm sorry to say it.He does follow the rules about money such as signing check not in front of him, but that is actually a universal policy and he can be liable. If he doesn't know you he will take all the necessary protocols that are his legal responsibility and you can't blame him for following the rules and get mad because he isn't making an exception for you, it's his loss and liability and unfortunately can't trust anyone today. If you get mad he follows the rules and won't let you slide when he never seen you before, you are acting like an entitled brat and that's not on him that's you. Learn to follow the rules or go to someone else.”

“I've shopped here for years and have been told by more than one that I'm bougie. Prices are comparable to any other Stop & Shop. This store is not filthy nor are the employees rude. My only complaint would be that the clock above the exit has been broken for years. If you go there to see what time it is then you can give this a one star.”

“I love my Big Y it's my go to grocery store for all of my grocery needs. The bakery is my go-to for all birthday cakes they are all amazing I even use the deli for fresh made meat and cheese platters and antipasto just ask the deli for a menu and you can order there. The sushi section also has someone making fresh sushi at the sushi bar we get it all of the time it is nice and fresh. One of my absolute favorite things about Big Y is the grinders ,you order them and they make them right in front of you and for 8.99 for a massive 12ft grinder with all the toppings is a great deal for $1 extra you can grab a bag of chips and soda and make it the meal deal. They also have party grinders that I have ordered before and they were a hit!!! They also have a great verity at the seafood section and the butcher is great I also get filets and ask them to butterfly them for me and they always do you can also order all different types of meats from the butcher! The staff is always so friendly and helpful especially the women in the self check out she is always so helpful . The hot food section is also always fresh and great to grab on the go !! Lets not forget about the tasty great priced pizzas!!! They also have everything you need for your household needs usually I find great deals on cat food and cat litter !! I love my neighborhood Big Y !!”

“Wow what a nice grocery store. Wish I had this in Florida as well. Reminds me of Publix but bigger. I loved their flower and balloon area. The bakery goods are nice as well. I went for a quick run to get my son some milk and yogurt. The carts were nice and clean. The kid friendly cart had my son excited. We were able to pay quickly with using Apple Pay and the cashier was great. Overall, a great grocery store if you are in the area, drop by,”

“This review is for the florist department. I came in tonight in a pinch as my fiancé is getting out of the hospital tomorrow and I wanted to make sure a nice arrangement was in place. I usually have flowers delivered but again, I was in a pinch. Helena, the florist manager was nothing short of fantastic as she made me a beautiful arrangement and was super helpful. I honestly couldn't have been happier and I'm now kicking myself because I usually spend double the price from an independent florist. I will now be using this Stop and Shop's floral department with all of my floral needs. Thank you again Helena, you created a beautiful arrangement, were an absolute pleasure to chat with and Stop and Shop is fortunate to have you! I'd recommend this florist department to anyone!”

“I decided to give Stop & Shop a try again. I will say they have improved a lot back then most Stop & Shops where overwhelming to me. So i stop going to Stop & Shop and went to Shoprite. I was impressed with the deli department, so much to choose from and the guy was super kool and very friendly let's just say a people person that's a plus to me. This will be my new supermarket from now on. It was clean and the employees where very nice. I definitely recommend Stop & Shop to everyone.”

“So this is just based on my experience with the front store, I've never used the pharmacy. It's a good size Walgreens, although the seasonal section is small. The aisles are generally clean and free of clutter, and the store is well lit. I've never had a prolonged wait to check out, which is a fine thing if you're going to movies right after. ;-)”
