Most of the staff was rude, and there was an expensive adoption fee. Also, you need to be pre-approved to adopt a cat before you can even play with it in their cat room, which you also need an appointment to do. They seemed very inconvenienced by us even being their and wanting to see a kitten. It's amazing how anyone is even able to leave with a cat by how thorough the process is. We did get a kitten there 4 years ago, and the experience was tough, but it has gotten a whole lot worse. At this point if we were to adopt another cat or kitten we would take the hour trip to CT Cat Corner in Weathersfield, where we had gotten another kitten prior, the staff is friendly, the paperwork isn't crazy, and you can leave with the cat you chose that day.

All cats were in clean pens. Many were contented in their environment. Many were in frisky spirits. Real nice people in rescue department.

Very expensive. This place was clean and the cats were plenty. The adoption fee was $295 and more for most kittens and cats. I could not afford that.

great center with well cared for cats and kittens with a cadre (but always needing more foster families caring for newborns and pregnant cats as well as others with special needs. Always available to help with rescues and support Animal care and control in neighboring communities. placing older kittens in comfortable caring Senior to Senior homes for their golden years. And finding appropriate placement for working cats. I cant say enough about Whiskers and their volunteers at this 100% volunteer organization. Adopt a cat but if you cant volunteer or donate to help with care and voluminous vet expenses. It is all for the cats.

I’ve not only adopted two cats from Whiskers, but also have worked there as a volunteer “Cuddler” for over three years. Everyone with whom I’ve been in contact there is dedicated to the rescue and wellbeing of kittens and cats. I encourage all cat lovers to consider adopting from and/or donating to this excellent organization!?

My son and I have adopted cats from Whiskers and we couldn’t be more please with the whole process. The staff was so kind and so helpful with helping us choose our kitties or helping the kitty choose us! The facility is very clean and the cats are all well taken care of. What a wonderful caring organization.

I know they want to make sure all their kittens/cats go to a good home, but they are not the CIA or FBI! Whiskers was the first place that I chose to go look for a cat, but after my experience, I would not recommend them at all! Their practices drives away a lot of potentially great families.

We had an amazing experience here. We were searching for a kitty and seemed the experience wasn't going as planned. We found Whiskers Pet rescue and from the moment we spoke to Margorie for interview to going to the agency was wonderful. Everyone was patient and kind. We are happy with our new fur baby. Most of all our little girls couldn't be happier.

Very disappointed in this place. The facility smelt like feces from the second I walked in the door. I understand there are lots of animals in there but I've been to plenty shelters which makes me think their cleaning schedule is lacking. Additionally the cats were all kept in very small cages with no indication they were let out to stretch their legs which is incredibly needed for cats of all ages. Would not consider giving them my business. Beware!* Update yes I visited their facility Saturday 12/10/22. There was zero indication they take the cats out of the cage other than the rare and brief instances of meeting with potential customers. Then back in the cage you go.
