Car Rental near Stonington, CT

“I rented a car for a quick work trip to Rhode Island. Mike called me the morning of the rental to let me know that the car I needed was in Groton, but he offered to send someone to pick me up at the Mystic train station. It turns out they were able to move the car to Mystic, but still picked me up almost as soon as I got off the train. The employee who picked me up and processed the rental was very friendly and polite. The car itself was nice as well. Great experience!”

The experience renting from the Groton New London Airport was painless and it only took a few minutes. We would certainly rent from them again.”

“Google maps had wrong location. It is located within the main airport building - not a small separate building across the street. Hours also slightly different. Included exterior pictures of the building, posted hours on the entryway glass, the night drop box, interior pictures of the Avis/Budget desk and the general building interior. It is a time capsule. Hasn't been updated in easily 20 years. It isn't in terrible condition just very dated.

Easy access to location. Airport is not busy. You can rent cars or Budget box trucks from there. Plenty of free easy access parking for your personal car and to pickup / drop-off the rental. The cars / trucks are all parked in front of the main airport entrance in an open parking lot.

For what it lacks in modern aesthetic, it is an easy, low stress option. Not sure how much this location doesn't follow through on commitment to having the rental available after making a reservation. I prepaid online and our white Chevy Tahoe hybrid was there. Although, the vehicle wasn't clean when we picked it up. The seats had some yuck, there were wrappers inside and dirt / crumbs in the very back cargo area. Agent didn't do walk-around so we took plenty of pictures of the scuffs and scratches outside and inside.”
