“The location of this store is very convenient for me. Very clean and organized. Very easy to find what you are looking for. I love going here but please bring back the self check out!! I love the convenience of using self check out and it allows the employees to dedicate more of their time to stocking and organizing the store!!”

“Very nice newer store located in its own area. If I had one complaint it would be when you are coming from the west and need to make a left turn into the drive area to the parking lot. There is no turn signal and you are on a single lane road. A plus it's that there is a spacious parking area. Staff were nice, and greeted us when we came in. Store was well stocked and everything clearly marked as far as pricing.”

“When I heard this was going to be a Dollar General I was so disappointed. I thought, "Who needs another one??" But now I am so glad it's here! I'm in there several times a week. Prices are very good and selection is fantastic. Last night I picked up some first aid stuff that I would have driven to Walmart for because it would have cost me a lot more at Walgreens or CVS. I loved not having to get on 95. They even have a good selection of grocery items. And as a bonus, the staff is always nice. So glad this store is in town!”

“Here's the major issue, each time I enter this store to buy some baking soda (that is all I ever get at the Dollar General) the same weird male in a black shirt will come to the register (even if someone else is actively on the register, that person will be removed) and the same strange male will insist on checking out my items. SUPER WEIRD. The last time I was in the store about 1.5 weeks ago in January of 2022, there was only one person on the register. A white girl, who scoffed and scowled at me as I walked into the store and made my way to the isle I needed. Upon checking out, the girl turned off her register lights (as I placed my items at the register) the creepy male in the black shirt rushed over to a different register and she claimed that I "had" to go over to the creepy guy to get checked out, again (while laughing and smirking, as though redirecting me to the same creepy checkout guy, every time I shop at this location, is some sort of joke). Obviously, I won't be back to this store EVER but if someone else out there notices this same creepy, PREDATORY behavior while trying to quietly shop, 1.) NO, YOU'RE NOT IMAGINING IT. I notice this happening every single time I go to this location and it's most likely happening to other women and girl shoppers, too + 2.) YES, it is CREEPY, WRONG AND PREDATORY. Do take your buisness somewhere where you can peacefully shop without being preyed upon by some CREEP! I was going to properly withdraw my support by returning the items I purchased that day (I should have left them at the register the MOMENT the rude cashier tried to redirect me to that creep again; I know”
“First time here. Needed a marker for some renovations. Didn’t want to have to go all the way to Home Depot. Took a chance and came in here.Fortunately found a marker I could use. Picked it up quickly went to the cashier. She was super nice and efficient. Prices were excellent. Was in and out.”

“The useless manager was more concerned about the cashiers asking customers to donate $ for Africa than he was getting down the extremely long lines. My cashier was polite and working hard and the manager had the nerve to chastise him, in front of customers,about asking each and every customer to donate. I wonder what was in it for him?”
“It's not easy to work at this, it gets so slammed and they work with a limited staff but everyone is so helpful, funny, friendly and I love the employees, at this location particularly. Tonight my boyfriend was running so late but we needed cat food and milk and didn't want to pay the gas station prices. They were so sweet they kept the store open ten extra minutes so that he could make it and even helped him find my candy. Thank you ladies!!! I swear it doesn't go unappreciated or unnoticed all the hard work you do, and the sometimes rude customers that you have to deal with. I'm very grateful!!! You made a difference for me tonight. ? ?”
“First of all let me start by saying I’m a white choclate lover !!!!! I usually go to the Dollar General store on Colman Street in New London ct. because they usually have the White chocolate M&Ms which I am a fan of !! Well the other day I went into this location to get my candy and couldn’t find them anywhere ?! So I asked the clerk who always helps me Caroline if they are out ? She dropped what she was doing and looked for them she finally spotted them behind the counter I was one happy customer!! Now Caroline went above and beyond for a customer which makes her AWESOME in my book !! Also the cashier Lauren was so helpful too”
“I went in to buy some balloons for my son's birthday. As I was choosing them, Mike the manager came over and helped me with them, without me even asking!. He even made sure that they were all blown up well and put them all together with a star. I then proceeded to check out with him and he was so courteous and nice. Let me explain...I went to find a mattress for a friend of mine and was greeted like a true human being and not just a customer to make a few bucks from, by a very pleasant young man. He went above and beyond for me to be sure that I was able to get what I came for within my budget and not many places do that anymore. If they know you only have a small a small amount of money, they pretty much rush you out the door. This young man took his time, and made me feel comfortable from the the time I walked in until the time I left. Turns out, he is the owners son, Ryan.Never have I had any bad experiences with ANYONE that works there, quality of everything I've bought has been perfect, and I will not shop anywhere else.It's not just amazing furniture, it's also amazing staff, right down to the owners very own son!Thank you Ryan....and your dad for making sure she has a mattress to come home to”

“Whenever I come to Mohegan Sun for the day, I am always sure to stop in the store. I used to love the incredible selection and amount of unique finds in this store. However recently, my friend and I find that the store has significantly pulled back their selection. The store used to be packed from wall-to-wall with different unique items and now they have really thinned out their selection. There are still cute unique fines and things for each season and holiday, but it is not what it used to be.”
