“I prefer this branch even though its over my town line. They are always very accomodating, no matter what their situation. Today was the last day they were issuing temporary cards: called 1-800 line because I found questionable charges so they stopped the card.When I asked how I would be able to make purchases they said youll receive card in 5-7 business days, but if you want a temporary one youll have to go out to branch & its last day to do so,since they are eliminating this feature at the branches. Glad I picked this one, they took me without having made an appt. The last time something like this happened in the Wolcott branch, Head teller was annoyed that I didn't know I had to make an appointment & told me to go & wait in hallway near door. There was not 1customer in there. I was told I would have to wait bec she was waiting for an appt,& I asked how long would temp card take. She said a few minutes. I said, well given that your scheduled appt is not here can you accomodate? She had this face on like she wanted to roll her eyes but she gave in, however I was very uncomfortable being there. I explained to this branch that I wasnt sure how to make appt, & tictoc, they would be closing soon so I ran over. They said its best to call local branch as opposed to online because its unreliable. So now I know! and my crisis of not being able to go grocery shopping was averted.”

“I used this Webster Bank’s coin counter the other day. After using the machine, I went in line to cash in my receipt. The line was quite long, and 2 of the 3 tellers were involved in time consuming tasks, such as setting up a new debit card for a customer. I asked the branch manager if I could come back to cash my receipt, as I was in a rush. She informed me that the receipts have to be cashed in at the same time that they are printed. Knowing that I was in a rush, she went to the back of the bank to the drive up tellers and had one of them come up front to cash me out. I never had a chance to thank her because she was on the phone when I left. I just really appreciate her attention to customer service and doing what she can to help someone.”

“You don't appreciate what you have until to lose it. I switched from Webster to People's United because I got a better mortgage rate at People's. I've found that it is very difficult to get customer service to fix anything at People's. 1. Webster allows you to transfer between any account online, whereas you cannot do that with People's. 2. Webster answers their phone within minutes, whereas People's will return your call in 40-60 minutes, so you have to sit by the phone. 3. If you have a problem with Webster, they will fix it the same day instead of making you wait literally weeks. 4. They will give you one overdraft forgiveness a year. 5. They will let use overdraft protection without a fee (just interest) from a line of credit. I have had no or very little problems with them, and the few times I did, they were patient and fixed the issues right away.”

“I have been a member of this bank for about 27 years when my mom began my savings account as a baby.. I have never left and continue to use this as my main bank. The staff over the years have become friends to my family and are very personable with each and every visit or phone call. I moved a bit farther away from Waterbury now but will not leave this credit union. Anything I need I know they will have done in 2 minutes from my phone call. I appreciate the personal touch this credit union has.”
