“Fabulous selection of clothing w a major league selection of designer clothing at unbeatable prices. I picked up a pair of barely worn Stewart Whitman sandals for &10. Beautiful glassware and home goods. Totally worth a visit!”
“This is my go-to Goodwill. The staff are friendly and kind and the store is kept as clean as possible. Donations are frequently coming in at a large volume, and there are always employees bringing out new things each time I visit. Prices are fair. A nice selection of clothes, books, media, etc. Veronica is a lovely person as a store manager.”
“This is one of my favorite thrift stores to go to. The layout is very easy to find things. The prices are great. Much less expensive than Goodwill. And they’re giving to a great cause. The turnover is fast so you could go there every week and find something new. The staff are lovely.”
“Goodwill is a great place to find affordable items and hidden treasures. The store has a wide variety of clothes, shoes, and household items at very good prices. I appreciate that it’s clean, organized, and the staff are helpful. Shopping here is always a positive experience and I often find more than I expected.”

“This was an excellent store until they started letting all of the employees go who remembered customers and took delight in providing a top notch experience while shopping. There were always smiles and laughs. I don't know if management changed...the pricing is still very good and the selection is as well, but the overall experience has seriously gone downhill. As a customer who regularly thrifts around the state, the store went from being close to #1 for me to dropping to middle to low for me...as someone who is handicapped, experience carries far more weight for me and I'm sad that this store fell off on quality experience...”

“Always have always will love salvation army. They have done a lot for the community unlike some other thrift stores that are littered throughout Connecticut. Half off clothes on Wednesdays and always moving inventory is what a true thrift store is supposed to do... Again, unlike some stores that hold on to clothing thinking it's okay to charge $9.99 for a shirt that they received for free and do absolutely nothing for the community. If you don't believe me go to a recovery meeting at a salvation army they host them at their rehab facilities. This is what true outreach looks like. When people go to a thrift store they are not rich, they can't afford $10 $20 shirts and pants. Thank you salvation army for always coming through for the people who matter and not for others pockets to get bigger.”
“Savers always has a broad variety of anything you might want or need. The store is well labeled into sections overhead, and each rack has contents and sizes clearly marked.
The dressing rooms have been removed since Covid which makes trying on some clothing a challenge. The store offers an exchange of clothing items within a few weeks, but the exchange needs to be done the same day making sure you buy more. All that said, my overall experience is often fruitful with the clientele and staff always friendly and helpful.”
“Was at the store 8/27. Wow the staff here are awesome! Definitely either love their jobs or they put on the “customer service” face, although if that’s the case - I could not tell. I didn’t realize they were closing when I went to the fitting room and came out 10 full minutes after they were technically closed. All I got was, “did you want to head to the register? We’re kinda closed.” In an incredibly happy and kind way. They did not rush me at the register and even signed me up for their perks program - EVEN THOUGH WE WERE A FULL 15 MINUTES AFTER CLOSE! They absolutely did not need to be so gracious. I believe it was the manager that handled most of the conversation, but everyone was beyond nice. Huge props. Store is also well-maintained with a pretty decent selection. Wish I had more time to look at books, but that is 100% on me.”

“Truly the most organized, clean and abundant Goodwill I have bee to thus far in Connecticut.
Regarding prices, they were very high for clothing. I do not know if this ude to management, the location or the organizing as a whole. NB: $25 for used winter coats is beyond excessively priced.
That being said, the aisles were tidy, thoughtfully laid out and the employees were great. Shelves were organized, sizes organized, lots of selection. Maybe I got lucky!. Thanks especially to Mariah, Chelsea and Olivia! They were lovely, positive and professional.”

“KINDEST WORKER I’VE EVER MET
Some of my friends and I recently went to goodwill and had the pleasure of meeting William. He is the sweetest cashier we’ve ever meet. He was cheerful, friendly, and humorous. One of the items I was checking out didn’t have a tag. While another kind worker, David, quickly solved the problem, Will talked to us the entire time. Even though the store was closing soon and most workers would be rushing to get customers out, he didn’t make us feel like a burden. We will be back very soon in hopes of seeing him!!! :)
