About Best Western Executive Hotel of New Haven-West Haven
The Best Western Executive Hotel of New Haven offers a decent and affordable place to stay, especially for families or those seeking a quiet getaway. The hotel is conveniently located near a busy intersection and across from a Walmart, making it easy for guests to access shopping and supplies. The property shares its space with a gas station, which can be helpful for travelers filling up tanks during long trips. Parking can be limited at times, but guests have reported that their vehicles remain safe. The rooms are generally clean and well-maintained, with no strong odors or mold, and feature fresh linens and bathrooms. However, some rooms may be outdated, especially the bathrooms, which could benefit from updates. Guests have noted issues such as non-functioning electrical outlets, poor water pressure, and noisy air conditioning. The hotel has only one elevator, which can be slow and sometimes gets stuck, leading to longer wait times, especially when used by staff and guests alike. The staff is friendly and pleasant, with breakfast staff receiving particular praise for their service. The free breakfast offers a selection of breads, muffins, danish, waffles, eggs, potatoes, sausages, and beverages, though some find the hot foods to be cold and less flavorful. The water fountain operates only during breakfast, requiring guests to buy water at other times. Overall, the hotel is a basic, serviceable option with friendly staff, and it provides good value for the price, though some maintenance issues and outdated amenities could be improved.
No were near as bad as latest reviews have stated. Rooms where clean, staff was friendly. Breakfast was mediocre but that is normal. Overall decent hotel for decent price.
