“I know it was a long-shot, but I took a chance on stopping here on the ride home. Normally I try to use the best dry white for cooking seafood, which is usually a common Pinot Grigio. However, since it's a large crowd with some of my favorite people, I decided to try and locate one of their favorite wines. They love what they consider to be the best white which is the Santorini Assyrtiko. It is a more mineral, bolder wine like a stainless steel-aged Athiri blends from the island of Santorini in Greece. It adds an extra layer of flavor body to the complexity of the seafood broth and enhances the briny, sea flavor of the dish with a bright, citrusy note. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I didn't find the bottle I was looking for, but I decided to substitute it with another one they suggested. There is plenty of parking available and it is conveniently located to get in and out of quickly.”

Harry’s has a large selection of alcohol and is definitely one of the lowest priced liquor stores in the West Haven area. Parking is never a problem. Happy Harry’s is my go-to spot when I’m in the area.”

“A small mom and pop style shop. They sell singles in everything and if they don't currently carry something you want there you can ask them and they will gladly order it in for you. The store has lively employees and a good natured feeling to it, and if you become a regular they'll even make sure your order is on the counter by the time you get there.”
