Penske Truck Rental
38 Boston Post Road, West Haven CT 06516
“Thank you, Taya, Sherwin, and Sabrina for providing excellent support. Had a great experience with Penske. Just one thing for prospective customers picking up the truck at Home Depot locations, they could not accept mobile payments (Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, etc) for checking out. This is true as of August 2024.”

“The New Haven office is great and the two women who work the desk are both excellent. We received a new 2025 blue Nissan wirh only ca. 3300 miles in pristine condition (clean and sparkling!). We had no problems at all and we even received a ride to the airport from Kay (delightful young lady and a great, careful drive!) for our flight from Tweed-New Haven airport. We recommend Rent a Wreck very highly - their prices are excellent!”

You can bring your children to watch cows in the barn or grazing in the fields.”

Budget Truck Rental
817 Whalley Avenue, New Haven CT 06515
“I had such a good experience here that I wanted to be sure to leave a review. I think Rich was the gentleman that helped me and my boyfriend with a truck/dolly return. I had had an incredibly negative experience with the Budget location in Lexington KY for my one way rental that I was fully expecting the same terrible customer service from all locations. This location at Tripps was exceptional and helped me understand my receipt before I left the location. He clarified the policy on deposits and I left feeling really good about my experience there. Super helpful. I'll never use Budget again, but I would feel very comfortable going to him with other business as he seems very honest and straightforward. Thank you for your excellent customer service.”

U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer
125 Old Gate Ln, Milford CT 06460
“I see the mixed reviews, but I've used this company twice now and no issues either time. Yesterday we rented a 22 foot UHAUL for 8 hours, drove 80 miles, got the insurance and the total cost was $150 + the gas I put into it. Compared to some other quotes, not bad at all. Not the greatest, most-excited customer service in the store but that's fine by me - simple to reserve online and pickup/drop-off with the emailed e-receipt was fine. Would happily use them again.”

Rent-A-Wreck
1091 Dixwell Ave, Hamden CT 06514
“This place is fantastic. We were in luck that they had a van to accommodate our crew, with same day pickup. We we're were rushing, as we needed the vehicle, but he was insisting he needed to detail the vehicle. When the credit company in charge of releasing the deposit was delayed in releasing my funds, Rent a Wreck was honest and understanding. I will definitely work with him/them again. No bullsh*t. Pleasure to deal with. No hassle. Two years from now.... I am gonna need a van. Hold it for me. Thank you.”

Budget Truck Rental
15 Old Gate Lane Unit 2, Milford CT 06460
“This company seems to really be going down hill...but Laura Paige, the office manager at this location turned my nightmare into a good impression. I initially had made a reservation 2 months in advance to her picked up in Bridgeport. On the morning of my res. I showed up and they said "we don't have your truck". Long story short....I had made new arrangements to pick up the following morning and was dreading the results. Laura was beyond friendly, restored my confidence and even made sure I received the better truck in the lot. She is a sweetheart and I highly recommend making the trek to Milford even if seemingly inconvenient.”
