“Ace Hardware in Colchester, CT is top notch. We moved to the area a little over a year ago and first began shopping there, originally due to the proximity, but continue to go because of the outstanding customer service. All the associates, both junior and senior, are wonderful! It is a little like stepping back in time and experiencing what great customer service used to more commonly be. The associates have always been genuinely interested and invested in helping us. They give wonderful advice and if they don't know the answer, they pull in another associate for wisdom. It's especially impressive the work ethic we have witnessed from the junior associates. We have gotten the impression that the senior associates have either mentored them wonderfully and/or they are just incredibly self motivated. Regardless, it's refreshing to witness and experience. It's also impressive how well the any of the associates remember us and ask us how we are doing AND they remember if you've served in the military. Ace Hardware in Colchester, CT is a hidden gem in our opinion. Again, it gives such nostalgic vibes of yesteryear when your neighbors were your family. We truly hope the associates at the Ace in Colchester know that these acts of kindness with their customer service, although may seem small, always have a positive impact on our day. It also gives us hope that their are still business', like Ace, where we can shop and the associates still do the right thing, take pride in what they do and appreciate their customers without fail. They all really deserve recognition.”
“Harbor freight prices have always been great. The quality was lacking in the early days. I have a lot of tools from harbor freight. Their ICON series are very good. I have their 1/2 torque wrench. Works as good as any other brands. I do find their electronics tools to be lacking. I have bought several tools like saws and cutting wheels that were junk. I returned them the same day. That said, they accept returns without question. So I would say, don't be afraid to purchase these tools. Most times they are fine and if you are not happy, they will take them vack.”
“Got a flasklight as a gift...no receipt, nothing. Josh the Manager helped me with my issue of it not keeping a charge. Josh diagnosed the problem and even though the store did not have one and nothing showed on line ,Josh matched the battery to one they did have and replaced the battery. Definitely went above and beyond to solve my problem. Treated me like stores used to. So refreshing. Thank you Josh.”
