I have made reservation for rental car and when got there I felt so little.. The customer service experience was horrible.8 people inline 2 reps and the attitude from Mohammed was awful..he mad me feel like a nobody as he sit there with his legged folded not willing to help me and showed me a sentence as of if I was using an debit card I reserved the rental car with credit card but it didn’t have a chip and Mohammed states that I can rent because my card didn’t have a chip..Than him telling me to sit down so he can help the next customer I stated to him I needed to speak with a manager and John came out confused and just agreed to what his rep was saying not trying to assist in anyway…Didn’t apologize or dissatisfied customer and feel I just experienced racial discrimination at your Bradly international airport in Windsor locks CT location. I arrived to pickup the vehicle I reserved and I was told due to my CREDIT CARD not having a chip I would be unable to rent. I asked the representative Muhammad where in the terms, conditions, policy and procedures did it advise this information and he was unable to show me. What he did show me is some that said something along the lines of at the location they have the ability to have discretion on who to rent too!!!!! At that time I asked for a manager and Juan came out and basically to us the same thing.

Not enough staff, one absolutely rude and obnoxious male counter staff inept at his job. Total wait time about 40 mins to leave with car. So bad I wrote to complain and zero response to date, nearly 2 months later.

Showed up at 12:30am. Was told they don’t accept Amex between 12 and 1am. What?!? Guy was rude, saying that I should have a different credit card and that it’s my fault. Worst ever.

Randy in returns was super helpful and efficient with my car return both times I used the airport location. Have never had anything but a great experience here.

Working for a large company that does alot of business in New England, I am at this airport multiple times a month, and with all of the uncertainties of any trip one thing is alway certain, Holly will always great me with a smile on her face and treat me as if I am the most important customer of the day. She ALWAYS makes sure that I am satisfied (to the best of her ability) with the vehicle I rent. As a president circle member many times the vehicles on the line are no t what I require and she will always do her best to make it right. I do realize that it means me paying more money for the right vehicle ,but with the level of service Holly provides I do not mind at all. I do alot of business with all 3 major renal companies but when in connecticut HERTZ is always my go to even if it does mean paying more.Thank you Holly for always making this part of my trip easy.

I reserved to go from BDL to an NYC location. I was not asked about insurance or what my options for tolls were, just checked out quickly and sent on my way. I realized that I was not told what the toll situation was, so I tried calling Hertz (local and national) several times with no response. Finally, my wife googled and we pulled over to the New Haven location and added the toll pass, needlessly adding an hour+ to the trip after waiting in line. It seems they only have one employee in every location except NYC. Not to mention, the toll pass thing is ridiculous- your options are a fee or a fee, one higher than the other. All rentals do this, but I still hate the policy and the fact that no one was knowledgeable enough to help as if they would like repeat business.

Quadruple-charged, car was a mess.Booked a single-day loaner for $58 online, charged $210 at the desk. Desk agent had no explanation other than "Looks like they added some fees, I can cancel if you want."Later I figured out they'd added an extra day and an extra level of insurance on top of the one I'd already paid for - easy mistakes to correct, if the desk agent had offered any help beyond a "take-it-or-leave-it" and a shrug.Once I got the car, it had a bunch of half-eaten fast food and random clothing items under the seats.Hertz customer service was silent about the ridiculous overcharge, but their robots were nice enough to send an automated message assuring me that their cars go through a 15-point cleaning process. Thanks guys, that's a big relief.When I needed a car for an additional day, I turned the Hertz car back in and booked online with a different company. And you know what? With the non-Hertz company, the price I booked online was exactly the price I paid.Checking my statements this morning, and it's even worse. I see now that I was charged the $210 in *addition* to the online booking, rather than in place of it. This is insane.Needless to say, never renting from the Hertz family (Hertz/Dollar/Thrifty) again.Post-script: I like how the non-human customer service autoresponder autoresponded to my "the customer service autoresponder was worse than useless and wasted hours of my time" with "please waste more time sending the information you already sent to the customer service autoresponder to the customer service autoresponder." You've got to appreciate the consistency here. Just an amazing experience from top to bottom.

Terrible do not rent any teslas they make you pay twice the charging fees and do no inform you before hand that you will pay double per charge

I want to give them a zero star. I rented their car for the holiday. The car couldn't start. I had to call for road assistance twice in two different days until they were willing to let me get the car replaced. Hertz wasted me so much time and ruined the holiday plan of my family. The replacement experience is also terrible, very time consuming… and the employees were not willing to help. STAY AWAY from Hertz!

Actual stars…0.The absolute worst. 29 hour rental for a midsize car cost almost $400.00 because they doubled charged on coverage. Not only refuse to refund but are rude and obnoxious about it. Strongly advice using ANYBODY but them.

I wish I could give ZERO reviews. I have used this location a few times and it was fine (not the best) but the last time I went, they had charged me $92 for a fuel recharge because I returned the car without filling it myself. This wouldn’t have been a problem IF they had told me that I would be paying that much for fuel! I always return the car without refueling and they ALWAYS charge me $30! How did $30 get to $92???? Ridiculous and such a scam! I reached out to customer service and they denied any kind of refund or help. DONT GO HERE!
