My 16 months old grand daughter loves to visit the animals and play on the playground. Whenever we visit we take her there. We also love the walking trails, and always find a place to relax and have a snack. For the longest time, though did not know they had testrooms

This park is clean, always has alot of parking space available. They have barn animals (pig, chicken, duck, goat, horse, cows), they have fish and turtle at the pond, they have exhibition room for kids to see and play as well. Restroom in the exhibition area is clean. They have place to do picnic as well.

I love this park so much for kids with families of all ages. It's the perfect place to have a picnic catch turtles and release them. See the animals. Go on a hike. Visit the park. It's the perfect place

Nice public park with pond, playground, small nature center with inside restrooms, farm animals and all for free. Also have paths but we have not explored.

My kids and I really enjoyed this place. The grounds are pretty and well kept, there was a barn with lots of animals to see, a playground, a little lake with tons of fish and turtles visible, etc. We had a nice day.

I recently had my company picnic here. Parking is decent, bathroom was very clean. We were in the pavilion in the back left. It was private and it did have an access road. I think they would benefit from having a walkway to it as you walk through the grass to get to it.

Originally went here for a picnic. Was surprised by how indepth a tobacco farming history museum it had. Along with an active farm of sorts with live animals. It's huge. Would recommend checking it out if you're in the neighborhood.

Beautiful park, lots of hiking trails, easy walking trails, barns (sometimes open with animals), a little pond, rock walls, a playground, restrooms available, and great for picnics. Love visiting here! Very beautiful here in the fall!

This place is awesome! There are tons of hiking trails, open space, playgrounds for kids, and even environmental education learning centers. There are numerous different hiking trails so even when there are a lot of people it doesn't feel crowded. The learning center was clean and had activities for people of all ages. There were some fish and even turtles for visitors to look at. The playgrounds were clean and child friendly. Even when there are a lot of people the place is busy it doesn't feel busy, it's massive. This is a great place to take children or spend the day with family. Hands down one of the coolest places I've been to in the area.

Lots of areas to explore. There are heated and clean bathrooms available outside the Nature Center building. We explored the Bog Trail on a warm January afternoon.

This winter my husband is making me go hiking each weekend (wx permitting) so that we don't spend the season cooped up in the house. I do require a winery visit afterwards, however. Stay tuned for winery reviews! One winter Sunday we decided on Northwest Park. Quite a nice, approximately 5 mile loop that was very well marked. Set off into the woods behind the nature building on a trail that took us down and by the Rainbow reservoir. Pretty easy trail as well.Ended up by the critter barn that had goats, ducks, turkeys, sheep and Cisco the donkey that runs the show. There is also a very easy pathway past the barn that would probably be fun for a family with little ones.
