Dumbarton is a remarkable venue for a small and intimate wedding. They have a beautiful garden (with a lovely brick backdrop) for the ceremony and an outdoor cocktail hour. We had the reception in a lower level tented area complete with interior bar and dance floor. Street parking is difficult to find.

Stunning Georgetown venue. I am a photographer who found their staff to be great and the entire place to be picture perfect.
Dumbarton House was built in 1799 on the heights of Georgetown. Joseph Nourse, the first Register of the Treasury, resided here with his family and servants - free, indentured, and enslaved - from 1804-1813. Dumbarton House's period rooms and rotating exhibitions tell the stories of life in the earliest days of our nation's capital. In 1928, The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America (NSCDA) purchased and restored the property to serve as their national headquarters.
