“We had an exceptional wedding at the Mess Hall this summer and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the very beginning, Al, Jordan, and the entire team were thoughtful, organized, and truly invested in making our vision come to life. Their preparation and planning were outstanding; from seamlessly connecting us with excellent vendors and caterers to offering creative, practical ideas for how to best use the space. Communication was always prompt, clear, and reassuring.
On the wedding day itself, everything ran flawlessly. The venue’s industrial character paired beautifully with modern conveniences, and the flexibility of the space made the night unforgettable. We held our ceremony and dancing outside in the dock space, while the interior provided a comfortable, stylish space for dinner and for guests who wanted a break from the dance floor. The flow of the evening felt effortless. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience and would choose the Mess Hall—and its incredible team—again without hesitation.”

What an event, soo many watch companies (many of whom are stellar micro-brands), the place was packed with enthusiasts!
We only went on March 8th but it’s a two day event.
So many brands to discover, and so many opportunities to buy fantastic watches at a large discounts. But most important of all, you get to try watches that are usually only available online.
Great atmosphere overall, wasn’t too crowded to the point where you couldn’t move. You actually get to talk in person to brand owners and their reps. And they even have daily giveaways!”

“Ive tried a few clubs this was a more older entity, the wait staff although professional werent as cordial /friendly as I had hoped. The salad bar was good pesto orzo salad, and chickpea salad were great. The potatoe gnoochi was okay. 2 versions of plated cheesecake 1) slider 2) half roll cake”

“WONDERFUL. For a nice, self guided tour of US Navy History, this is the place. Clean and comfortable, you'll enjoy getting out of the heat or cold. The first shop offers all US Military branch souvenirs. I love coming here on every trip to DC.”
“I absolutely love Yards Park, especially during the summertime when I’m able to go on runs there. For example, today I only planned to run a mile, but because the scenery and atmosphere are so nice, I ended up running longer. It’s such a pretty area to walk, run, or just hang out by the water.
It’s also home to some of my favorite spots, including Osteria Morini and Barry’s, which makes the area even better. Overall, it’s one of my favorite places in DC and such a perfect spot to spend time when the weather is nice.”
“Was there for a party. Beautiful and spacious. Space for reception, large room for speakers, that converted to dance floor with DJ and beautiful outdoor balcony. Additional rooms on first floor. Wonderful for large parties/event in gorgeous historic building.”

“We had our wedding at HQO, and we had an amazing time. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful and spacious. We had 145 people at our wedding and everyone fit comfortably. We worked with Raul throughout the wedding planning process, and he was a pleasure to work with. We had lots of meetings and walkthroughs to coordinate everything with HQO and our vendors, and the process was smooth and Raul was so helpful and friendly throughout.”
“Beautiful spot. We live downtown and go to their location on 17th St but headed across the river for an event and decided to stop here. Awesome wine list and tasty snacks.”

“Easy access loading dock with freight elevator makes the load-in for large event production and luxury furniture rentals incredibly efficient. As a frequent vendor at The Schuyler, we appreciate the freight access which is perfect for moving our mega bars and lounge collections safely into the space. It’s one of the most vendor-friendly high-end venues in DC!”
“I attended an anniversary party there not long ago. They were celebrating one year of being in business. It's a great place to rent for any number of events. However, parking is not great because it's located downtown DC.”
“Beautiful rooftop venue with clear views of the Capitol, just like the name declares. Only hitch in the evening reception I attended here was the power cord kept falling off the beam where it was taped. Not sure if that was a venue issue or a vendor issue, but either way it was distracting. But you can't top the views and convenient DC location!”

“Great venue, it’s an older building but they have done a good job maintaining it. Good was excellent and the staff was very prompt to assist and help with everything. Would absolutely consider this again to host a large venue. We had over 200 people and were very comfortable.”

“Not far from Saint Ann’s Catholic Church on Wisconsin Avenue, I had my wedding reception here many years ago! We had both fireplaces going in the beautiful ballroom that accommodated a long rectangular table for the wedding party and eight round tables for guests. There was plenty of room for the buffet table, a band, and dancing on the parquet floor. You have to bring in your own caterer – we hired Ridgewells who did an AMAZING job and really impressed the new in-laws! ;) Plenty of parking on the street. It’s a great place to start some of the best memories of your life!”
“2.09.2026: Today, I actually took the leap and covered this beautiful and historic space. I was somewhat surprised to find that it's a functional building on the ground floor. On the 2nd and 3rd floors are high ceilinged rooms that exhibits art from the local practitioners of the arts. There were hardly any people there, and, I had the place mostly to myself.... always a good thing.
The highlight of the visit was the awesome wrought iron gate that surrounds Hill Center. I'm a sucker for black metal...and even more so for ancient black metal. Let alone that the design of the gate was worth it's place in a Hollywood movie.
The gate did it for me.”

“This venue is absolutely stunning. It’s been several months after our wedding and we consistently still have guests telling us how beautiful our ceremony venue was. It has a breathtaking view of the Capitol and is extremely well maintained. We fit our 160 wedding guests under the provided tents for our ceremony with room to spare. Suzanne and the entire staff were a delight to work with and they really saved the day by accommodating us by scheduling a tour and our event very quickly after having our original venue cancel only 5-weeks before the big day.”

“Update from a previous review:
This is my third time staying at The Dupont Circle, and we got off to a pretty rocky start. However, the staff was determined not to let a few challenges prevent them from providing the stellar service that they are known for.
Upon check-in, my wife and I were immediately assisted with our bags and escorted to the elevator. Our penthouse suite was absolutely splendid - it offered 180 degree views of D.C., comfortable seating on the balcony, and automatic blackout curtains. However, the accommodations weren't even the best part of the stay; the staff, including Thomas and Lamond at the front desk and Abby at the Pembroke, truly made our stay unforgettable. They were attentive, kind, accommodating, and responsive to every request. To attest to the degree that they went above and beyond: I mentioned off-handedly that we were attending a Formula 1 event during the course of the weekend, and they centered several experiences around that seemingly innocuous comment. The Pembroke created a crafted dessert (with the F1 logo on the plate) and there was even a model F1 car in our hotel room during an evening turndown service.
I am absolutely floored at the care and consideration of the staff, and I am definitely converted into a loyal repeat customer. As I visit DC often for work and play, as do many of my colleagues, I will be recommending The Dupont Circle from this point forward.

“The price is great. They accept tap without needing a CC present so that made booking super easy for me, since i stopped carrying physical cards. The location is great, you are in the heart of it all. Coffee on the second floor and those machines pump out (i was surprised too) and really good latte. Enjoy!”
“We had an absolute blast at Insomnia Escape Room! We played The Alchemist and found it to be well-designed (and fun!).
The Experience & Difficulty
I’ve done several escape rooms before, and while I’ve seen some reviews complaining about the difficulty, I think it’s very subjective. We were a group of two—and while our daily work involves a lot of analytical thinking, which definitely helped—the key is really just being attentive to detail. It’s a fair challenge! We did ask for three tips during the game, and the response from the staff was lightning-fast.
Location Tips
A heads-up for finding the place: it isn’t on the main Georgetown avenue with all the restaurants, but it's very close by. Keep an eye out for the small Insomnia Escape Room signs and stay alert as you're arriving. It’s a nice spot because once you're finished, you're within easy walking distance of plenty of dinner options.
The Staff
The highlight of our visit, though, was our game hostess, Martina. She was truly the best—so nice, engaging, and high-energy. Her customer service is top-tier and she made the whole experience feel personal and exciting. If you go, definitely ask for her!”

“Lots of family friendly events throughout the year and all sorts of food and food trucks come in to keep the list changing. During the colder months that have a fire pit and a s’more food truck type thing that is pretty cool. Del Mar is a great restaurant down there.”
