“This is a new area built around a fun walking experience around the hotels. It's full of shops, places to eat, bars and fun things for the kids. Pets are allowed outside to walk around. There is a live fish market that is neat to see!!!”

“Fun place to cool off, albeit the signs say no wading, bathing, or swimming, lots of people still take a quick dip. We stop after afternoon Nationals games to cool down. Ice cream and restaurants closeby.”

“Excellent production value, really enjoyed several of the sequences in terms of choreography and incorporating Star Wars narrative aspects. Took 1 star off for cramped seating - make sure you show up early, as seating is first come, first serve.”

“We had our 105+ person wedding ceremony on the rooftop garden at Fathom Gallery 14th St and loved every second! The space spoke to who we are as a couple and is situated in the heart of 14th Street, where our love grew. The Fathom ladies (as we affectionately call them), Meg, Emily, and their team are phenomenal stewards of the space. Meg and Emily worked interchangeably to help us with seamless communication and flexibility throughout our wedding planning. We decided to have just our wedding ceremony at the gallery, and they found the right pricing to make it work for both parties. The space outside fits just over 100 people perfectly. We used the upstairs for the bridal party right before the ceremony, which was an addition that was well worth it. On our wedding day, the team was on-site and provided great energy as we made our way down the aisle. We took wedding portraits with family and made the ten-minute walk to our reception venue, Gypsy Kitchen, straight down 14th Street!

What separates the Fathom team is the little things. They were able to get the building next door to shut off their AC unit during the ceremony, which made a huge difference, given that we were outside. If you choose to have your wedding at Fathom Gallery, they will print ten of your favorite photos of you and your spouse for display around the venue. Having your wedding at Fathom Gallery will ensure you are in good hands and in a beautiful space!”

“I'm a club life member from Tampa and the service, accommodations, and atmosphere has been exceptional. I joined the club in my city and part of the numerous benefits that attracted me included being able to go to other cities and utilize the clubs there. This experience in DC has confirmed that I made the right choice and I've already recommended it to my husband for his work trips to DC.”

“I attended an anniversary party there not long ago. They were celebrating one year of being in business. It's a great place to rent for any number of events. However, parking is not great because it's located downtown DC.”

“Great place to work if you don’t have to be in the office, meet friends or mingle with members of the 4th estate. The second level is reserved for members only and their guests, so if you’re not a member, find a friend who is.”

“I was here for an event and we walked up to the rooftop. You could see an American flag with the US Capitol building behind it. It's quite a good spot for political-related events. After the speeches and stuff, we took a short walk to the actual building. If you are in DC and can get this spot, I'd go for it.”

“After a venue cancellation issue due to construction, the Whittemore House came to our rescue with 3 months to go before our wedding. The venue is an awesome place to explore, photograph, and enjoy with any event, and the WH team was great to work with. They have a beautiful garden and receptions rooms. Would highly recommend!!”

“Was a really interesting way to spend some time looking at Naval history, especially as the child of a Naval Vietnam veteran. Cool look at the evolution of the Navy over time and how it has progressed in more modern times. There is a small library that is packed full of old and interesting books and I spent some time there reading through old ship newsletters. Definitely a cool stop if you are on the Mall, at the National Archives, and just need to take a quiet break in a small, basement museum.”

“Our event was moved to this venue. Cozy theater with historic charm. Would have been five stars except we arrived on time and they let us wait out in the cold for 45 minutes while they worked out their "technical difficulties."”

“I took my first ever reformer class with Zaina at Toolbox and I was super nervous to try the equipment and try something new. She clearly explained and guided us through the class. I will be back!”

“Very nice place for a function. The food is always good. The service is just as nice. A large parking lot is available but may require a long walk for some. Bathrooms are clean and comfortable. Great location.”

“We held a combo Lunar New Year party and one-year wedding anniversary event at Mess Hall DC for about ~40 people and it was spectacular! Working with Al and his team from start to finish was great. Al is super responsive, helpful, and was committed to helping us realize our vision for this event. He gave me helpful recommendations on vendors (we hired a food truck to cater the event and the served food to order at the fully equipped demo kitchen / prep kitchen set-up in the event space) that he trusted and had used in the past and was on site for our whole entire event. The Mess Hall Team were fantastic all night, especially our super cool bartender that Al helped to secure for the evening for our open bar. I cannot say enough good things about the venue, Al, and his entire team. If you're looking for a unique space for your event in the DC area, then definitely check Mess Hall out!!! All of our guests loved the space and everyone had a fun evening together.”

“Thank you for hosting the DC Wine Fest! Spring Edition. We found this event during our vacation and were so glad we decided to attend. I found my new favorite Moscato and loved the price point! I also enjoyed the candle shop. We picked up a few candles, and they were thoughtful enough to double bag them due to the rain. I look forward to their Christmas in July sale!It would have easily been five stars, but the purchasing process at the end was unorganized. Initially, I was told the wine I wanted sold out. After probing some more, the gentleman went the extra step to search, and found the brand we wanted to buy. Thank you????”

“I had a really good time and truly enjoyed myself for the senior function that was going on. The DJ played a long time favorite from back in the day. "Kool Jerk!" A lot of seniors did the kool jerk dance too. We laughed and had fun grown-up style! The place looks much bigger since they've done some rentervations, but still need some work. Check them out!”
