The Folger welcomes everyone to connect in their own way, at its home on Capitol Hill, throughout Washington DC, and online through its many digital resources. Visitors are impressed by the vast and well-curated collection, with docents who are pleasant and knowledgeable. The library features recreations of illustrations on the walls, dim but still light enough to read, and offers more than just Shakespeare-related exhibits. The on-site cafe and theater with daily performances add to the experience. While tickets should be booked in advance, especially during performances, and public transportation can be inconvenient, the Folger is a fantastic place for Shakespeare enthusiasts and literature/history fans alike. Though it may be a bit pricey, the Folger's beautiful setting and charming courtyard make it a worthwhile visit to get lost in the world of Shakespeare.

Beautiful atrium with cafe. Came for a Shakespeare birthday celebration. The lecture sparked interesting conversations about international politics and immigration today, but on a lighter note, I couldn't resist taking photos of the tiny cupcakes!
