About Global Language Network
Global Language Network (GLN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making language learning accessible, affordable, and enjoyable for adults. It offers a variety of classes, both in person and online, across multiple languages including Korean, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Chinese. Students praise the organization for its welcoming environment, engaging teachers, and well-prepared lessons that include helpful handouts and vocab. Many reviews highlight the enthusiasm and professionalism of the volunteer instructors, who are committed to encouraging students and building their confidence in using the target language. Classes are structured to suit different experience levels, from beginners to more advanced students, providing opportunities to learn, practice, and socialize. Despite some logistical challenges occasionally faced by the small non-profit, the overall experience is positive, with students appreciating the affordability—often at a fraction of the cost of commercial courses—and the generous stipends offered to returning students. Whether for maintaining existing skills or starting a new language, GLN is seen as a valuable resource for busy adults who wish to learn in a friendly, supportive setting.

I took the 12-week Spanish Foreigner course with Michelle and it was a great experience! She's very knowledgeable, organized, and clear, as well as being very helpful and understanding towards student needs and questions. The class materials were comprehensive and extremely helpful to reference during and between classes.
