Jelleff Recreation Center is a friendly and safe place to hang out with lots of activities for youth and parents, creating a great community. The facility, however, is completely outdated and needs a major update, with non-working AC and terrible bathrooms. The on-site parking lot is very small and difficult to maneuver due to double parking. For a free DPR pool, it is great. The pool is not as large as others and is not pristine, with cement cracking, but the water was clean. It features wide steps, a small shelf for littles, and a rope sectioning off the deeper area. There is one dedicated lap lane. There is not much shade, with only one canopy covering about one row of chairs. The sidewalk is flat with no steps, making it easy for a stroller. The locker room was clean and stocked, though the bathrooms are not accessible from the pool area. The lifeguards were nice and helpful. Safety breaks are held, and there are pool toys and life jackets available. Guests were generally respectful.
A friendly place to hang out lots of activities for the youth and parents. They are safe, and the children seem happy to be there. A great community of people.
