Onelife Fitness at Fort Totten is a good and great gym, described as a remarkable multicultural community. It offers a great selection of equipment, including wonderful machines and lots of equipment for multiple ways to exercise. The facility provides many class offerings, including cycling, boxing, yoga, Pilates, HIIT, core, Zumba, body pump, aquatic, and other instructor-led classes, with no additional charge except for the boxing program. Free covered parking is included. The staff is nice, outstanding, and strives to treat every person with respect, with specific mention of employees who are extremely helpful, accommodating, and maintain a motivating, positive, and human environment. The personal training program is recommended for those able to make an additional investment. However, the gym can be a bit crowded, especially during peak busy periods. A significant drawback is that they only have one of each of the popular machines, and they are oftentimes broken for days at a time, which can make sticking to planned workouts difficult. The boxing studio specifically seems abandoned, with bad equipment and mats. Furthermore, the cancellation process is frequently cited as awful, involving a generic email inbox and sometimes resulting in incorrect charges, though one instance was quickly resolved. The gym is clean, but members are expected to follow rules regarding equipment, cleanliness, and class etiquette. It may not be a good fit for everyone, but it is highly recommended for anyone serious about their fitness journey.
