“I used Bench Gym for a couple weeks while visiting for business. The staff responded quickly and communicated effectively. The gym is not large, but has everything you would need. It's located in the lobby of a commercial building, but once you figure that out, it's not difficult to locate. There was never more than two other clients when I was there, so even though it was small it never felt cramped. The workout itself was effective and efficient. They prioritized my safety (prior injury to consider) along with my workout program, which was very appreciated.”

“At Foundation Fitness Gym I’ve been doing a combination of physical therapy and personal training with Maroun Yazbeck and Michaela Krsikova. I’ve found their instruction to be wise, comprehensive and life changing.Their plan for me is designed to address both strengths and weakness, and they make innovative changes in the moment. At the age of 81 after years of daily running, as well as pilates classes, I need these workouts to stay in shape mentally and physically.Foundation Fitness is a small gym which offers personal instruction to clients. Having tried many different classes and physical therapy sessions, I highly recommend this experience.”

“I am totally new to working out and I’m so glad i decided to become a member after my free intro class. I joined during the Black Friday sale - reduced price for unlimited membership and a free heart rate monitor (usually about $100-$120). You can rent a HRM for $15 each class but its not required to wear one. The benefit is tracking your stats in the OrangeTheory app and seeing progress over time.This location has 3 showers, sweat towels available, and even a vanity mirror with hair dryers in case you need to go somewhere after class. They also often have spray deodorant & dry shampoo available! There are lockers and cubbies to store your bag during class. The layout of this studio is much better than another location I went to. It’s just a big square room which makes it easy to quickly transition between treadmill, rower and weight floor without bumping into anyone else. They have more than enough screens around the room to watch the weight exercise video and check your heart rate. The other location is tried was L-shaped with the weight floor in an awkward corner so it was annoying to turn the corner and there wasnt nearly as much room to spread out or set up a weight bench.I cannot overstate the quality of the staff at this location. Front-desk agents go above and beyond every day to greet members with a smile and even remember everyone’s names! They provide some special events occasionally such as mobility workshops with guest experts and happy hours near the studio. The coaches are phenomenal, playing fun music during class, cueing all the stations in a timely manner and providing efficient but clear instructions and demonstrations for weight floor. If you have an injury or any orthopedic issues, they will make sure to show you any needed alternatives. They will also kindly correct your form if needed and encourage you to lift heavier if they can tell you’re capable! Coaches also make themselves available by email or set up online or in person consultation to talk about any questions like proper form to nutrition.If you havent tried OrangeTheory, I highly recommend calling to schedule your first free class. They will check you in early to make sure you’ll be in stations near the coach and go into the workout room before class starts so that you’ll feel comfortable using the treadmill and rower. If you already like OrangeTheory, I’ve heard multiple people say that this is their preferred location in DC-proper.”

“I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews, but I feel compelled to for this place. Orange Theory Cleveland Park has totally changed my life for the better. Every single person there has been nothing but kind, supportive, and motivating. Special shout out to Lem, Coach Kelly (AMAZING playlists!), Sarah, and Dom who are constantly crushing it. All the coaches are amazing—Head Coach Elizabeth I would follow into battle, she’s an outstanding coach. The workout is great, the community is even better. The physical and mental benefits are out of this world — I’ve never had such a consistent routine that I’ve looked forward to like this. HIGHLY recommended!”

“OT Tenley has hit the jack pot with great coaches and management. There is a shortage of coaches for many sports but OTT has Coach Julie leading and motivating the OT team, while Hannah and Brad keep things organized. If you want to have fun and work out, I definitely recommend OT Tenley!”

“I've been coming to F45 for a bit over a year. I was pretty skeptical about it, but this gym has seriously exceeded my expectations. The coaches have been great about helping me progress and adjusting exercises for my long-standing shoulder injury. I've really appreciated the flexibility when it comes to things like pausing a membership for travel or illness, and the extra workouts and events the team offer.If you're not familiar with F45, some days have cardio classes, some have weights/resistance, and some are hybrid. The classes are 45 minutes long, which I appreciate because I can take a class on my lunch break.If you told me two years ago that I'd hang out with people I met at the gym, I'd tell you something about you being bad at predictions, but shockingly I've also made friends at this gym, even though this wasn't remotely my intention. Who knew! Anyway, if you're on the fence, I recommend you check it out, there's always a good intro offer.”

“GetStrong Fitness will definitely get you strong as the name states. Ty is a very knowledgeable and detail oriented trainer. He gives in-depth explanations of each exercise, muscled that will be worked, and a quick demo to ensure that your doing the exercises correctly. With Ty and I both being former athletes, he knows how to provide you with that “Coachspeak” some of us need to get you that extra push to maximize your work out. Since I started with Ty 3.5 months ago, I weighed 280lbs (6’6”) with a one rep bench press max of 135 pounds. Just this past Monday, my weight is down 13 pounds with a new one rep bench press max of 185. My overall strength has improved tremendously and I have never been more motivated to work out in my life. If you want the results, you are going to have to put in the work. I highly recommend Ty to aid you in pursuit of all your fitness goals. If your looking to bulk, shred or just be active in general, Ty has a program that fits your needs.”

“Short Story: Aaron and Dave have a great thing going! They're wonderful people to be coached by no matter the skill level and will introduce you to a loving, inclusive, and accepting community! Long Story: Their success story of overcoming the adversity brought by COVID is inspiring. From having a gym to losing it--to their continued growth and success by repurposing a roof and the local park-- and to eventually securing a new gym space in Silver Spring--DBC is a true attestment to the power of what dedication, love for the sport, and community involvement can create. I started DBC on that awesome rooftop 8 months ago with no prior experience. It's amazing to witness the care and intricacy with which Aaron and Dave coach and teach. The coaching is very personal, and every session has a unique and specific purpose to the individual. Personally, I wanted to avoid the \"workout class\" environment (i.e. rumble) and find a gym that I could learn the art of the sport. Within a month, Aaron and Dave introduced me to sparring--and I'll have to say, it's probably one of the most fulfilling and hardest cardio workouts I've done. Aaron and Dave hold safety as paramount, and I've always felt they've had my best interests at heart while effectively pushing me to make me grow as a boxer. Anyways, enough words. I'll see you all at the gym and you all can see for yourselves!!”

“I moved to Mt. Pleasant 6 months ago and joined Fit360 a month later. I absolutely love it. It has a small community feel to it, which is so motivating for me. “I've been here several times now and have tried different teachers. They are all really positive and non- shaming, which is great. They are also quite challenging, some more than other. The studio is nice. They keep it clean and functions seamlessly. There's an area where you can lounge and even a small children's area. On weekdays, you practice with noise cancelling headphones so they the business upstairs doesn't complain about the loud music. I don't mind the headphones. You don't need to wear socks in this studio and the equipment is all there for you. I finally found my favorite teacher and will likely be a regular now.”
