This hotel was the highlight of our trip to DC. We were upgraded to a corner suite without request (Globalists). The room was spacious with corner windows (light blocking curtains available), separate living/desk space, a very comfortable king bed, and a large bathroom with both a tub and an expansive shower area. Plenty of mirrors for dressing around, and lots of storage areas. The soap/lotion brand is Le Labo and it is amazing. The hotel had a great custom scent in the lobby. Our stay was very quiet and relaxing with no odd noises….just peace and quiet. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. The bartender, Michael, was top notch on his service (he’s been there ten years). We did not book the restaurant but later heard that it is Michelin Star (not confirmed). We 100% recommended this hotel.

Do your research and pay attention to negative reviews so you won’t be disappointed. The room and bathroom weren't very clean. The sink stopper did not work. I had to try to use my hand to open it every time the sink was full of water. Walls had dirty marks. Duvet cover had unidentifiable red marks on it. Had to request a replacement 3 times. Instead of a replacement comforter they kept offering me sheets. When I finally received the replacement comforter, it had a huge hole in the duvet cover. The rooms smelled like housekeeping tried to cover up cigarette smoke. I didn’t receive the best greeting during check in. I was never asked if I was a World Hyatt member I was just asked for a card. When checking out, the front desk checkout person was kind of rude. She didn’t smile and she never asked me if I enjoyed my stay. The rooms are definitely not wide enough for wheel chair users to comfortably navigate corners. If you are disabled or a wheelchair user, the ADA suites are identical to the regular suites, just distinguishable by a couple grab bars. I totally disliked the bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner stacked together and not made for individual use. Anyone could have put harmful liquid in bottle. It’s also not hygienic. The rain shower head was sort of clogged, so I was unable to use it. Neither the hotel or service was 5 star in my opinion. The hotel definitely doesn’t offer any service or make disabled individuals feel welcomed. The day before check in, I sent an email asking about some of the negative reviews regarding bed bugs, awful customer service and disrespectful concierge. I received a response totally ignoring my concerns. I do appreciate my request to be on the same floor as my assistant was granted. The BDT room service, breakfast and dinner were good, but inconsistent. There are other 5 star hotels in the area offering better service.Rooms: If you are disabled or wheelchair user, the ADA suites are identical to the regular suites, just distinguishable by a couple grab bars.

Great, clean, luxury hotel with an amazing staff top to bottom. Checked in after having spinal surgery, and the entire staff went far and beyond to assist and accommodate to make my recovery as smooth as could be.Their service is hands down the best I've ever experienced, and I've had a lot of experiences since I travel for work. The excellence is not just the front desk either, but the whole staff! The food in the restaurant Blue Duck Tavern is very good, could do with a slightly larger menu, especially for those of us staying for an extended period. But the ambiance is fantastic as well.I can not even begin to express my gratitude for all their help during my recovery period.I highly recommend this property be your first choice you are looking for accommodating in the DC area.Walkability: Close to everything

Beautiful hotel in a nice location, good room service, very poor customer service. We had late check-out - 4pm with our reservation, at 2:40pm got a knock at the door (despite having do not disturb sign) saying that our check out is at 2pm and I need to contact front-desk. Then 10-20 minutes later, cleaning staff tried entering the room without knocking. After speaking to front-desk, they apologized but they weren’t really trying to solve the issue rather blamed their system. For the remaining hour up to check-out, cleaning staff were waiting just outside our room for almost an hour, which made me very uncomfortable. I then checked out at 4pm and asked the front desk to bring my car out, 15 minutes later it still wasn’t there, valet wasn’t even aware of the request. A valet walked away to pick it up once I asked where it is… 5 star hotel experience - far from it.Looks like they primarily focus on corporate events and bookings. Would not recommend for anyone who wants a relaxing stay. Overpriced for what it is.Also a $150 fee for a pet and they didn’t bring anything in the room, only after I called front-desk.

Park Hyatt DC is a beautiful hotel with always great service. It has a nice quiet location in the city and it is great for those interested in spending time in Georgetown and Foggy Bottom/West End. The amazing Blue Duck Tavern on-site is a great place to eat for any meal, and a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast after a good night's rest in their nice modern rooms.Don't forget to enjoy the indoor salt water pool and spa which are very relaxing places to spend some of your stay.

A wonderful hotel which lives up to the Park Hyatt brand. The location of the hotel is in a quiet area of the city yet is still accessible to all the sights.Booked a junior suite, which was very well appointed with a great sitting room, generous bedroom and bathroom.

Of all the 5 star hotel in DC, I found this one to be the cleanest. I was shocked to see photos of dirty carpets and worn furniture at The Ritz, St. Regis, and Waldorf... Very off-putting. The rooms are nice and clean, The Blue Duck Tavern and Bar were both awesome, and the hotel is in a nice location.

Park Hyatt in different cities is well known for the service, the warm welcome, the special, smooth and quiet atmosphere… tonight in DC … a real disappointment ! We were very surprised by the welcome, the service… the noise made by the staff around the restaurant and in the bar… nothing enjoyable …what a bad experience… I would definitely not recommend this place to stay / to chill out around a drink or to have something to eat in the loungeFood & 0

Nice, quiet location. Nice to be able to order room service from Blue Duck Tavern. Fancy Le Labo toiletries (but not to take home with you). There are a couple of steps (4 ish?) from the entrance to lobby level - manageable with a stroller and if there's a ramp, it's not obvious.

Beautiful, stately, and modern. My wife booked us a room here for my birthday a couple of years ago and this hotel is superb. Check in was easy and the room was quiet and comfortable. The waterfall shower was my favorite amenity. The salt water pool is amazing and so relaxing. I swam so many laps I slept peacefully each night. In terms of location, the hotel is located in the heart of the West End District. Easy walking to Georgetown and DuPont Circle. Closest metro would be Foggy Bottom (10 min walk). Closest airport is DCA, but leave yourself some extra time to get to and from given city traffic. Food is excellent and the bar is well stocked. Finally, the service is professional and polite. This hotel has earned its stars and I would love to stay there again for a staycation.Rooms: Modern Ascetic with lots of dark wood and glass. Comfortable beds and posh bathroom with a waterfall shower. Not exactly the place you go for a nice view, but cozy and perfect for couples who want some time away.Nearby activities: Georgetown and DuPont are an easy 10 min walk respectively from the hotel. Foggy bottom metro is also only a 10 min walk so it’s easy to get to other attractions in DC. West End is merely a neighborhood district with some doctors offices and hotels so not a lot to see. But luckily the hotel is close by to some of NW DC’s best shopping and eating.Safety: West End is relatively safe, but like with all cities it’s best to be alert.Walkability: 100% walkable to Georgetown, Dupont, and Foggy Bottom (all within 10 min). Easy access to the metro or other public transit as well.Food & drinks: Didn’t get a chance to eat at the Blue Duck Tavern, but the bar area has a wide variety of snacks. The charcuterie board was fresh and delicious. The bar is well stocked with wines and spirits.Noteworthy details: The salt water pool!! An excellent experience and the best amenity at the hotel!

As someone who previously lived in DC and travels back frequently, I can say confidently that this Park Hyatt is one of the best hotels in the city.Let’s start with the location. This Park Hyatt is located right outside of Georgetown in West End, which is super quiet with a lot of things to do. There are great restaurants, coffee shops, and bars all within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms! The photos speak for themselves. The rooms are very well designed with a lot of thought put into each aspect to make your stay enjoyable. I really enjoyed all of the millwork that was featured throughout the suite that I stayed in - just stunning. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom shower/tub was stunning! The staff were helpful, answered questions, greeted us, and made sure our stay was pleasant.Overall, I would highly encourage everyone to check this Park Hyatt location out - it’s truly stunning. Also, while you are there, make sure to make a reservation at Blue Duck Tavern.

A fantastic value, but slightly lacking in comparison with the other high end options nearby. Whereas the Fairmont across the street has a large opulent lobby, the Park Hyatt's is small, dark and hardly conducive to more than checking in. Service is hit or miss, sometimes wonderful and sometimes impersonal. The suites are lovely if you're lucky enough to get one. The breakfast is wonderful although expensive ($190 for 4 of us) and the service inconsistent. Location is great if you like Georgetown or are heading to the cherry blossoms. It's a solid mile and a half down to the mall and museums though.

It was a nice stay. My partner and I went to DC for the weekend to celebrate Pride and also our anniversary ❤️? the hotel staff was friendly. The restaurant staff wasn’t that friendly. Our first morning we went to get breakfast and we didn’t know the hotel offer buffet style and also service table ( we would have chosen buffet style ) but nobody advised us. The hostess just gave us a table and the waitress came over afterwards. The waitress wasn’t friendly at all and when she was rushing us at all times. Wasn’t expecting that type of service! We went back for dinner and it was ok. Although the food was amazing and taste. The chef brought us the food. I think I would want to come back to this hotel with my parents. I just hope there’s new service staff in the restaurant. Also heads up to management: the hotel management we spoke to wasn’t friendly at all when we told her about the buffet situation

It's a wonderful place with friendly team! We lived with a dogs and this hotel arranged everything in the best possible way, putting a bedding and a bowl for our dogs. There are many interesting places within walking distance. We also ate well in a restaurant Blue Duck Tavern, which is located on the ground floor. So, we highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed here for one night in late May. To me this is a good four star hotel but lacks the service and refinement of a true 5 star hotel. We booked through the AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts program.Check-in was efficient but not warm. The room was very spacious and our room was upgraded. Breakfast was a bit of a mess... People waiting in line to be greeted (much less seated) and service taking far too long once you got that seat. The eggs Benedict were okay, with the meat being too thick and throwing off the eggs to meat ratio. We had brunch in the same restaurant (reviewed separately) and there was one person who appeared to be a manager who just walked around and stared. No interactions with either guests or staff. And that pretty much sums up our interactions... Other than check in and check out, when we had to interact with someone, nobody seemed to be around. We really never felt like our business was valued. Our request for a late checkout was honored.Next time in Washington we'll seek out another hotel.
