I went to this petsmart on my birthday to get some fish. We ask for someone to come for someone to come 20min and yet nobody came. So we went to the petsmart in greenbelt SO MUCH BETTER. Go there.

Absolutely terrible place and staff, this is the place to bring your dog if you want them to be abused and mistreated while getting groomed, and don’t worry because once you realize there was an serious issue they will lie and do everything in their power to not review the footage or even look at it. “Like heck if I’m gonna sit here and look at all that video” is what they told us over the phone to resolve our issue. I'm an experienced aquarist (fresh and salt water) of over 2 decades. Half the fish I bought here died in less than a week. The guppies they sell are heavily inbred and developed scoliosis. The bettas are kept in inhumane squalor (literally small cups) and are terribly unhealthy. I can't trust a store that treats its animals like garbage.

I frequented this location only because of its convenience. Everything about this location is ghetto and unprofessional. Booking with NuNu C., I took my pup in to get his second bath and trim. Immediately, I noticed her prejudice against my pup. He was very energetic and had a hard time keeping still while I was speaking with her; but what baby just sits still whether it’s a human or an animal, right? This is something she “noticed” during our consultation at the front desk…before even attempting to groom him. She stated that she had to charge a special care fee because she believed he would be a danger while getting cut. Again, this is not his first time experiencing grooming and the last groomer did not express this noticing to me. Using my better judgment, I canceled my appointment because she gave me an eerie feeling that she would mistreat my pup instead of handling him with care. Later on down the road after having better experiences at a different location, I learned that she noted on his profile that he was a danger while grooming and would not keep still. How is it possible she provides notes on a grooming that never even happened? Again, this is something she “noticed” before even working with him. I believe she did this out of spite because I canceled my appointment due to lack of trust in her with my pup. In addition to that, she gave me the impression that she did not want to do the job at all. All in all, she is the reason I would never go back to this location. Someone should put her in training for professionalism and dog care.

One of the worst grooms my dogs ever received. Cut her too low. Told them to not touch her ears or her hair (she has two pigtails). Maricarmen cut both. Then she did such a weird and horrible cut on her face. Never taking my dog here for grooming again.

Absolutely deplorable customer service at this location! Never use them for grooming services!!! They told me they were unable to take my pet and didn't inform me until right before the appointment and not when I originally made it hours earlier. Completely unacceptable and they were unwilling to do anything to help fix the issue.

Grooming salon is trash 🗑️!!!! Nunu come up with every excuse to charge extra. Maria is incompetent. Mia has a nasty attitude and all of them are unprofessional and don’t even know how to talk to one another. Don’t book and don’t bother getting your pet groomed at this location.

This is directly addressed to grooming. I had a horrible experience with disrespectful staff (specifically Mia). I will never return here. The manager was very kind and respectful, so if you are just looking to buy some pet supplies, I think this is a fine location. However, I strongly caution against booking with grooming here.

Clean, well stocked, and friendly employees. High prices but that's to be expected at big name stores like this. PetSmart is at least reliable and has everything you could need for your pet. I popped in for a last minute item and it did the trick- but for weekly shopping I'll stick to the locally owned small guys and their fair prices.

So just ordered bird seeds from Petsmart. They arrived soiled and full of bugs. The bugs were out within minutes and are all over my kitchen now and crawling on me. I called to get a refund and they were not interested in talking to me unless I bring the bag back. When I asked what was the safe way to bring the infested bag to them across town, they had no response or advice. Just kept repeating like a robot that they don’t know but there is nothing they can do unless I carry it to them. They wouldn’t even check the other bags in the store and may be continuing to sell infested seeds to others! I am left to dealing with the bugs and the aftermath on my own

I’ve had one of the worst customer experiences of my life with this location’s grooming department. DO NOT bring your dog here to get groomed under any circumstances.
I made my rescue dog his first grooming appointment online about a week in advance. As I was making the appointment online, I was asked questions about his breed and temperament. I was honest about everything, including checking boxes saying that “yes, he may be anxious” or “yes, he may be reactive to dogs”. He is also a Rottweiler. I was permitted to book the appointment with them knowing all of this.
Then, to follow up, I called the grooming department to speak to a real human(still almost a week before the actual appointment). I wanted to get an idea of their protocol for potentially difficult dogs, and see what I could do to help make things go as smoothly possible. I regret not asking their name, but whoever I spoke to said “you can try calming gummies, and if that doesn’t work you have to take them to the vet.” The fact that they were rude, dismissive, and rushing me off the phone should have been my first clue as to what kind of establishment they are running here.
I confirmed my dog’s appointment several different times leading up to his appointment. I got up at 6:30 am on a Saturday to ensure we were on time to his 8:00 am appt. We were not even allowed into the building until about 30 minutes after his appointment was supposed to begin because one or ALL of the groomers were late???
Once we are allowed into the building we wait in line for another 15 minutes to check our dog in. At this point it is 45 minutes past when he was supposed to begin his appointment. The groomer looked at me and said “we tried to call you, we cancelled your appointment.” I was almost too stunned to speak. I did not receive a voicemail, text message, or email from anyone. Then they told me that they “don’t groom difficult dogs Friday-Saturday”, so why am I being informed of this now??? It’s almost as if their rules are being made up on the spot.
We also decided to muzzle my dog while he was in line out of an ABUNDANCE of caution. He has no bite history whatsoever, but he is scared of dogs due to lack of socialization and trauma before we adopted him from the shelter. We were also informed that “next time” we come, he shouldn’t wear a muzzle because it “looks bad” on their security camera. They did say they don’t groom dogs with muzzles on for safety reasons, which I can understand…. but if muzzles are so controversial that you can be practically kicked out of the store for walking your dog in with one, you should probably make that info clear ahead of time.
After we left, my boyfriend who was with me noted that at least one of the groomers we were speaking to was wreaking of alcohol.
Needless to say, I will not be attempting to make another appointment here ever again. Take your dog and $ someplace where the employees are not extremely disrespectful and also potentially drunk on the job.
