Planet Word is an immersive language experience and interactive museum located at the historic Franklin School in Washington, D.C. It is the world’s first voice-activated museum. Ideal for all ages and free of charge, it brings words and language to life with fun, interactive galleries and exhibits across three floors. Visitors can learn about the origin of words and see how intricate and amazing language is. Highlights include a large karaoke room, a machine that prints out a chosen poem or short story, and a notable elevator. There is also an extra puzzle room for a challenge and a gift shop. An attached restaurant is available. The museum is a good time with an incredible, compassionate, and helpful staff. It is worth a visit, especially with children, though it may not be enjoyable for any child who cannot read well. Parking is found pretty quick and close. It is a great place to fill a whole day on a rainy or very hot day.
Definitely a museum that I’ll be taking my daughter to at least once a year, especially as she gets older I feel like she’ll appreciate it more. She had a tantrum while we were there and the staff was super nice

Never heard of this place but absolutely loved it. I recommend it and would go again because we didn't set aside enough time. It is small but you'll want interact with the displays. Can't remember a museum I enjoyed as much as this one.
