Stachowski's Market is a chef-driven butcher shop and deli known for its straightforward, mile-high sandwiches and catering. It specializes in beef, pork, chicken, veal, wild game, lamb, and seafood, making its own pates, sausages, pastrami, smoked ham, smoked salmon, bacon, pastries, and baked goods. The ingredients are fresh, with superb cuts of meat and fresh bread. The pastrami sandwich is frequently cited as one of the best, described as massive and heaping with meat, often providing multiple meals. The Grinder is also teeming with generous cuts of meat, cheese, and veggies on a stupendous roll. Other items like Italian sausage, braunschweiger, country paté, and mortadella are also very good. The turkeys and other meats are top quality. The staff is friendly and professional. There is no seating inside, but Rose Park is just a couple of blocks away.
Love at first sight. This tiny corner market deserves all the praise it gets. Gorgeous, clean, everything I’ve bought here is excellent quality. The cold cuts, the bread, the meats, and the pies are top notch. Love the potato salad. Best I’ve had. Try to go during off peak times because it gets very crowded.
