Glad I read the reviews and wasn’t expecting much.I just wanted to deposit cash, and ended up waiting 18 minutes for the teller to attempt to access my SDFCU account before giving up. I’ll just drive to Alexandria so they can screw up a deposit themselves. It’s weird that we live in DC with a credit union network that appears stuck in the 80s.I would have given them a two star rating because it is funny to see the bank even left themselves a 5 star review with three of their other employees, or people paid to leave their clearly scripted comments in attempts to better their online ratings, but I’m still too aggravated by the whole experience to actually laugh.

Why must I even leave ONE star?? I don’t even know what to call it right now! I’m furious! If I were you, I’d run, not walk to get all my money out! I’ve been waiting over a month for a new credit card that expired in AUGUST! Should’ve been had my new card in AUGUST!! I’ve called several times. Each time it’s on the way. I got the card (secured in 2016). I want ALL MY MONEY and both accounts closed!!! I’ve been wanting to close my accounts because this has incident is just the straw that broke the camel’s back!!! This institution is a joke!! Find another credit Union to bank with!! This one isn’t it!!!!!!!!!

Worst credit Union ever. Had trouble with my card out of town there is no staff that can help ever you deal with a 3rd party company who can’t resolve anything. The employees are not real bank employees they don’t know what they are doing. I still haven’t received a call back and my issue was 5 days ago. This account will be shut down this week and if you’re smart you will follow suit. Navy Federal 24/7 customer support. I have watched Transit decline to beyond trash. The got 1 star because you can’t give zero.

I wish I could give half a star. Their customer service is slow, pleasant but slow. Their Over Draft Fee policy is ridiculous.Who charges people a fee for pending charges? If the money is present prior to the charge posting, then why do you still get charged the fee?Also, there are no tellers, you not only have to have your bank card (of course) but you also have to have a username and password. Regarding the security guard...Oh my! I honestly thought that she was a bank representative.While we enter the bank, she is not very polite, and she is asking questions as if she is the RECEPTIONIST for the bank.It confuses me sometimes because she has on a security uniform but is asking me bank questions.This establishment needs some customer service classes along with a do-over of there policies. IT IS HORRIBLE.

This bank wild slow service and just for a call back it take 2 business day Ridiculous like why should I have to wait 2 day for call back about my money . The lending department is in violation of truth in lending and they never do a for disclosure over any contract . Two weeks I have wait for my card to come and still don’t got it . This bank is the most absurd bank I have a had to dealings with sadCase

I had a pleasant customer service experience with Kimberly. If all the employees at TEFCU are as professional, patient and helpful as she was, the credit union industry is in good hands! I hope her supervisors are aware of what a jewel of an employee they have.

I recently worked with Sonje at the Dakota branch in NE DC. She went above and beyond and assisted me with many issues. I needed to go to the PTM machine but did not have an online banking information. She assisted me with resetting and gaining access, she then noticed mailing address was incorrect, she showed me how to update my address using online banking. She was great to work with and I look forward to working with her for on some of the financial needs we discussed.

When I have a problem with something at the Credit union I will always call and talk to Ms. Rice to see if there is anything she could do to help me with the situation and everytime I do she was always able to help me work it out I will always be thankful for her for all she has done to help me.

I can not call directly to the branch on South Dakota Avenue. The phone number listed provides people that know nothing & do nothing to help. You physically have to be in the bank if you want information other than "I don't know. " 1 star is generous.

Went to this location because my credit union’s website said I could make a deposit there. Myself and my seven year old arrived a few minutes before 3pm. We were there for a few minutes, no one opened the door. My daughter pointed out that there was a sign saying we need to wear a mask. If they didn’t open the door because of that, that should’ve been stated. I walked to my cart came right back, by that time it was exactly 3pm. They just looked at us standing in the cold. This location seems to be unprofessional, has bad customer service and inconvenient

The worst bank ever I got my card stolen told me it would take 2 weeks to get a new one when j went to the location to get money out the machine didn't work and the lady at the front gave me no real help will definitely close this account asap. I been with them for over 8yrs and I see why no one banks with them anymore....

Really nice workers but this Credit Union Sucks... Services offered to customers is horribly bad/ hours of operation have been cut back/ check deposit turnaround time is awful most banks 48hrs this bank 72-96hrs /location accessibility this Credit Union hasn't expanded ,also, I have to travel a long way to deposit or withdrawal just to experience previous stated difficulty's. But its a good simple backup storage option but not worth the headache as a main bank option the difficulty's get really annoying - Like the ATM going out on the weekend and they're only open on 1 weekend every month. Problem or no?
