Seriously the best trainers and the best equipment! It's a supportive atmosphere where you can get an amazing workout. People are there to work but are friendly too. I highly highly recommend!

Jay is the best of the best. The gym has top quality equipment and is open 24/7 which is amazing. Literally the best gym in D.C., also, it's never crowded so you can enjoy working out in peace with no wait times for machines or loud grunting if weightlifters. Honestly can't recommend Tidal EPC enough!

You won't find a better trainer in Washington. J doesn't take on clients who aren't serious about getting in shape, but if you want someone to push you and make sure you don't slack off as you work toward your goal, Tidal EPC is the right place for you.

J is simply the best at what he does. I have been training with him for years and continue to reap the benefits of his knowledge and expertise. I have trained with him through pregnancies, marathons, weight loss, and weight gain--he always tailors the workout appropriately based on where I am physically. But don't show up if you aren't serious about getting fit--J doesn't suffer fools when it comes to training.

Weight training with TEPC is strengthening from the inside out - complete and through balance. I have been a runner for 30 years and practiced yoga for 15, but it was only when I started training with J that everything came together. Each session J cycles through different muscle groups. The sessions are challenging to just the right degree so that my strength has grown steadily over each session. I was so impressed with how well TEPC understands the mechanics of how the body works, that I had both of my sons train with J in High School- for football and track. Overall the training has improved how I can function on a daily basis - in athletics and day to day life

I started working with Jay shortly after Tidal opened. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Not only did I want to get in better shape, I also wanted to work on my balance. I had broken my ankle by slipping on ice the year before I started working with Jay. It was the first time I had ever broken a bone and knew that I did not ever want to deal with something like that again. I am happy to say that since I've been working with Jay, I have not broken another bone nor have I fallen and hurt myself badly again. My balance has improved tremendously. In addition, my body is so much more toned than it used to be. I am also happy to say that sometimes I notice places where I didn't know I had muscles. My friends also make positive comments, especially when they haven't seen me for a while. The studio is very convenient to where I live, the equipment is high end and well maintained, and I never have to wait to use a cardio machine of my choice. The other trainees are friendly and serious about their work out goals. If you are looking for a great place to work with a personal trainer and workout, look no farther. Tidal is the one!

I have been training with Jason for about 5 weeks now and I have really enjoyed training with him. He is very knowledgeable about the mechanics of the human body and sets up routines that are adequate for your level of fitness and are challenging without putting you at risk for injury. I had trained in the past with trainers at gyms who seemed to produce cookie cutter routines without taking into acount the clients needs. I would recommend Jason for anyone who is looking into personal training at all levels

J is the best trainer in DC, hands down. This place is not for the faint of heart, however. If you aren't taking yourself seriously and really committed to getting into shape, this place is not for you. Highly recommend him if you are interested in shedding your post-baby body also.

I can't believe it's been over 5 years since I started my weekly workout habit at Tidal EPC. Prior to signing up and training w/ J., I was gaining rapid weight with little will power to stick to an exercise regime lasting longer than a couple of weeks. J understood my exercise goals and have since always walked the fine line between pushing too hard and being too lenient during our weekly training sessions. Since 2006, I've lost and kept off considerable weight, gained muscle tone and enjoy a happier and healthier standard of living. Tidal EPC's roomy facility with updated exercise equipments presents an encouraging environment to continue one's exercise regime. J. and the folks at Tidal are worth every penny.

I've been training with J for about a year, and it's my all-time favorite place to train. The gym itself is completely laid back, friendly atmosphere, and private. The equipment is top of the line - better than Equinox or really any other gym. My workouts with J are awesome. They are always different, and actually take into account my goals and what is going on that day (soreness, injury, stress level, other activities). J also gives me workouts for triathlon training based on heart rate (using the zones from the metabolic test on the treadmill) - and I've never been faster. As someone who had constantly been plagued with injuries before I met J, I've been amazed and how I have been able to train for triathlons and weight train consistently and successfully. I couldn't recommend him any more - to anyone.

I have been going to this gym/studio since inception and it second to none when it comes to training and honest/accurate assessments. I've been to other gyms and am tired of the same old "crap shoot" when it comes to your trainer and their knowledge. It is a studio and not an old warehouse - it's more personal and private, though it still has all the amenities you need to shower and secure your personal items. All the equipment (weights and cardio) are NEW, top of the line, clean and work!! I've been to too many gyms where that is NOT the case...I'm sure we all have! If you are serious about your training, your results and are tired of meat market gyms, this is the place to get serious. In the end, you have to want it and going to the same gym day in and day out can get challenging - which brings me to my final point about Tidal EPC - the owner and staff are so much fun to be around...lets face it, good conversation is not required...nor is laughter - but what a difference it makes!
