Staff tells me to go Fedex next door bc they don’t have the box size I need. I go there and they say I cannot ship using that box bc it has a fedex logo on it. So why did you tell me to go to fedex to get the box? Just used usps bc I had a prepaid label otherwise I’ll always be going to fedex. Talk about unhelpful staff here

Today I have posted a package at FARRAGUT POST OFFICE - 1800 M ST, Washington DC 20036. The lady who was behind the counter and her name is Amberry is a racist, and I was discriminated by her. She was engaged with her phone. Neither she paid attention to me nor answered to my questions and concerns. She is too rude I have ever seen. Please hire someone in Post Office who knows how to behave different consumers properly. I got really sad from her behavior and frustrated severely.

I came in today with some questions and the staff was extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that all my questions were answered. I would highly recommend this location!

I had a great post office experience here today. The attendant was very friendly and quick. She even recommended I use priority mail for one of my packages to save some money. This location also had contactless payment, which was something I haven’t seen at many other USPS locations. I’ll be frequenting this location in the future.

I had a fine time in the store! Sorry to hear others had bad experiences. Service was good for me, no line

They get the job done but there was a lot of mumbling and blank stares involved. They expected me to know everything too and didnt easily explain the differences.

Horrible service, they are rude and I took a package to be returned to a department store and now they are telling me is lost … unacceptable if they are unhappy working there then change jobs but don’t provide horrible customer service.

This location has convinced me that USPS does indeed hire ex-cons. There is no way people with such godawful attitudes and childish behavior have never done time.Customer service here is so bad, you kind of just have to laugh at it all. The employees pout and sigh their way through each movement, and make snide little comments at every opportunity. The two women who work in the afternoon are particularly miserable. And yes, I will gladly fill out the survey on the receipt ;)

Extremely rude staff- would avoid this location if possible. The lady helping me did not greet me and did not provide straightforward answers to any of my questions. Was more focused on talking to her coworker about lunch plans over helping me with my concerns. Spent about 20 minutes trying to mail one letter....

the female employee at the front desk is the absolute rudest woman. she's late every time i've shown up at 9am (the opening time). i was there to get my passport photo taken, after waiting in line and her going at snails pace she said the passport photo employee isn't in today. i asked when he would be in, she said "i don't know". when i came back a few days later and waited in line for 30 minutes because she didn't come into work on time, she said the same thing except added a detail that he comes in later. so rude to customers and lazy. she needs an attitude training class.

I wish I could leave less than 1 star. Like others that mentioned, Walter, the older male who regularly works here is aggressive, condescending and down right mean. I always brushed off his belittling behavior, because hey I'm sure working at the post office can be aggravating. That changed today. I went in to drop off letters to mail and was immediately scolded for thinking I could drop my pre-stamped letters in the front mailbox. Keep in mind I'm at the front of the store, and can't really hear him from the back of the store, behind glass. So I walk to the back of the store, and said "Sorry I couldn't really hear you, should I leave these with you?" He continued to aggressively scold me for even asking where I should put the letters, and reiterated that he said to put them in the glass box next to him. I said "Ok", put them in the glass box and said "Is there anything else I need to do?" He flew off the handle yelling at me, asking if I was stupid, what else could I possibly need to do. He continued to condescendingly and aggressively yell at me that he told me to put them in the glass box, and "did I do that? Well then what else would be needed". I was in shock and responded, "I was just asking if you needed me to do anything else, sometimes I get a receipt? Why are you yelling at me." He continued to berate me, never collecting the letters from where I put them. I left the store to get out of the situation, in shock over what just happened. The letters were about 20 hand written notes that took me a week to write, so I went back in. The letters were untouched where I left them, I asked if I could just have my letters back (I didn't want to just grab them from his glass box). That didn't go over well, he started yelling at me that something was wrong with me. Grabbed the letters and threw them in a bin on the floor behind him. He threatened that he was going to call all the other post offices so they wouldn't take my mail and let them know how awful I am. I burst into tears, and asked if I could please just have my letters back. To which he told me that I was mentally unwell, needed psychiatric help and to go get therapy immediately. This back and forth of him yelling at me and me asking for my letters, crying, continued. More people started to come into the office, so he eventually threw my letters back at me and I left. I'm still in shock over what happened...definitely not the morning I was anticipating. Unless you're in the mood to get verbally assaulted, go somewhere else. I should also note that I am a "young" female which seems to be on trend with his bullying. If you had a similar experience consider filing a report against him with the Post Office.

Rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. What should’ve taken me five minutes took an hour. No masks were worn by staff, and they chatted amongst themselves and took personal calls while people were waiting in line.

The employees here were incredibly rude. Not only to me, but the other customers in the store too. One employee tried to explain where the different slips are at and she didn't understand and he started to explain how to tell the left side from the right side. And she had stated this wasn't the first time he has treated her like this.
