“I took a chance and went to Home Depot in Glasgow Delaware to see if they had recliners in stock. Although they didn't have any in the store, they do carry furniture online. I've never ordered anything online so I didn't have a clue how to go about it. I asked the salesman in the furniture department if he could help place an online order for a double recliner loveseat I'd looked at on the Home Depot App. Wow! He was so helpful. When I asked about paying with a check or my debit card he assured me that either way would be fine and he had my loveseat ordered in less than 10 minutes. He was very patient and took the time to clearly explain everything in a way I was able to understand. I didn't get home and wonder if I'd missed any of his instructions. I was then able to track my purchase which was to arrive approximately in 7 to 10 business days. It arrived on the day they said it would arrive. I will definitely shop there again and will recommend it to my family and friends.”

Initially, I went to 84 Lumber, and they gave me a quote for a front door; however, it was bare bones and missing much of what I wanted. Larry Cochran, in the Millwork department was recommended to me and he was super knowledgeable and communicative. He met with me and listened to what I wanted, and he was able to easily develop a quote to match. Once I ordered the door he kept me and my contractor updated. If your in the market for doors, I highly recommend Larry!”

“I want to recognize the outstanding customer service I received at the Newark Lowe’s.

Last weekend I placed a curbside order that I picked up at the Bear store. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize until I got home that I had been given floor model patio furniture. The pieces had numerous scratches, and the table still had a display stand attached. After two frustrating phone calls to the Bear store including being placed on hold and disconnected I was told my only options were to return the items or accept a 10% discount and the gentlemen told he he would give me a pat on the back. I was even told to drive to Newark to purchase new ones and then return the damaged items to Bear, which simply didn’t make sense.

Instead, I drove to the Newark Lowe’s, and that’s where everything changed.

Holly was absolutely amazing. She handled the exchange without any hassle, treated us with kindness and professionalism, and turned what had been a frustrating experience into a positive one. While we were there, we also purchased a new freezer for over $1,000. Holly had Gabe verify inventory, and he went above and beyond by helping load everything into our vehicle.

The Newark team reminded me why I continue to shop at Lowe’s. Their customer service, professionalism, and willingness to make things right earned my loyalty. Although I had two disappointing interactions with the Bear store, the exceptional service from Holly, Gabe, and an assistant manager at Newark completely restored my confidence in Lowe’s.

I drove from Maryland to shop with Lowe’s, and thanks to the Newark team, I’ll gladly make that trip again. Newark Lowe’s has earned my business. Thank you for taking care of your customers!”

“This week I visited the Home Depot in Wilmington to purchase a few items for a client project project that live close by After realizing that some of the materials I bought were too short, I returned to exchange them. Unfortunately, my experience at the customer service desk with Angela was one of the worst I've ever had at a Home Depot. She was very rude, unprofessional, and made me feel as though she had a personal issue with me during what should have been a simple return transaction.

Thankfully, the manager, Christi, stepped in to assist. The difference in professionalism was immediately noticeable. Christi was respectful, patient, and took the time to listen while I explained the situation. Even while I was speaking with Christi, Angela continued talking from the back, interrupting and making inappropriate comments. Christi had to ask her to stop because it was disrespectful and unprofessional.

Christi handled the situation with excellent customer service and completely changed what could have been a terrible experience. Because of her professionalism and willingness to help, I decided to leave a 5-star review. Otherwise, my experience with Angela alone would have deserved only 1 star. Thank you, Christi, for representing the level of customer service customers should expect from Home Depot.”

“Usually have what you need. I usually go to Ace for the customer service, they are the very best. But the home Depot here does not seem to have a huge turnover in personnel. Familiar faces abound and are reliable in knowledge of inventory and location.”
