“As a DC suburbanite, I have been spending a week along the DelMarVa coast each summer for the better part of 50 years - first in Ocean City MD as a child, then Rehoboth Beach DE as a teen, and now Bethany Beach DE as an adult. Candy Kitchen has been the one constant throughout. My mom introduced me to their chocolate peanut butter truffle fudge as a child (not to be confused with the regular fudge - the truffle is so creamy!), and now I always stop at Candy Kitchen on day one of my week vacation to pick up half a pound. My son now also begs for a visit to Candy Kitchen the moment we hit town, and after spending the first 15 min oohing and aahing over their myriad adorable stuffies (varying from a bat to a strawberry to a seagull with a crinkle fry in its mouth, crabs, and other classic sea creatures) and the incredible assortment of candy options, he always settles on a small variety of gummy candy: this year he picked a combination of sour wild raspberries, giant gummy bears, sour cola bottles, and Mike & Ikes. The various locations are always consistent, and I expect we will continue to visit every summer for decades to come.”

“I had such a great experience thanks to one of the employees who helped me out! (dark hair and mustache — I should’ve asked for his name!) I accidentally placed an online order for shipping when I meant to select pickup. He took the time to contact them directly and was able to get the order canceled for me. He was incredibly helpful and kind throughout the whole process. Thank you so much!”

“I almost didn’t believe the salt water taffy was vegan! But the ingredient list shows it is! They have oodles of flavors and my girls enjoyed picking out a bag full of them! A little pricey but delicious!”

“There are so many candy kitchens in OC. But this one is my favorite. It's never packed and every worker I've come across at this location was very kind and helpful. The best thing here is their Truffle Peanut Butter fudge. It's their peanut butter fudge mixed with white chocolate. It is so smooth. You will literally never eat any of the regular fudge again. Lol”

“Love love love Candy Kitchen!!! I’ve been coming here for many years and it never disappoints. Just walking in to the smell of the store is amazing. My family still talks about the time I rode my bike to one of their stores as a kid and bought one single gummy bear for 7 cents!! ?My wife and I love the Heavenly Hash fudge (I think they call it Holy Hash now for copyright reasons). This particular time I also ordered a quarter pound of the Vanilla walnut fudge as well. It was very tasty.”
