I called to verify my reservation and the receptionist was very rude both times I called. He was yelling at me and hung up in my face.

The rooms smelled like they had water damage. I requested a new room and received it immediately but the room still smelled like mildew/water damage but just a little better than the first floor. The carpet was very damp and there were plugs that didn’t work. Some of the lights didn’t work. They need to do something about the smell because it made the stay unbearable. Nice staff and great location. Price not bad during DSU homecoming.

Smells like musty mildew. No smoking signs everywhere but reeks of marijuana on 2nd floor!
Badly needs renovation—carpets and bathroom ceiling from water leaks.
Toilet flushes well.
Breakfast left a lot to be desired.

The guy behind the desk was amazing. I think it was Sean. Some kind of night manager. I was going through some stuff and he talked me through it all. I had a stuffed gorilla for my little girl and the arm came off. He gave me glue from his car to fix it!!! What a guy!

Never got checked in. We had a reservation for three days. We showed up a little early. We are Diamond members. One of the benefits is early check in. Rocky informed us no rooms until 3. No exceptions. Very rude. I said I guess we will go stay somewhere else. He said that’s fine and cancelled our reservation.

The worst experience ever. About at all cost. From check in all went down hill. First room stank of mold. Second room which they tired to refuse a room change wrecked cigarette smoke. Our son woke up with bed bug bites. We do not recommend this experience to anyone.

This place is the worst.. My husband and myself and two teenagers went here to stay for few days to go to beach..Worst mistake ever we had to rooms. The kids was in one and my husband and I had a suite. It was small but the worst thing was the bugs first it was ants in bed dresser and made their way to our bags we informed the front desk and was assured that it would be taken care of only to come back that night after being out all day to the other bugs on the bathroom floor and closet floor.DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY THE PLACE IS NOT CLEAN.Also coming in to strong weed smoke in front desk area.But it’s a no smoking sign everywhere ?

I was very disappointed in this place. The building itself was very nice as you approach it and the staff was very nice checking you in. The room had a smell like a wet smell and the ceiling must have water damage and you can see where it was peeling big pillow but it was not a good stay

I usually don’t take the time to write a review but our stay at the Comfort Suites Dover was so bad I couldn’t fly home without leaving one. From check in to check out our experience was awful. Even though we booked our room directly from the hotel we were charged more at checkin than our previously confirmed room price. We requested an extra key and were told that the hotel was full so we couldn’t have one. We had to practically beg for a couple more towels and a blanket for the pull out bed. The hallways were smelly, the shower was dirty and there was a large hole in the floor, covered by carpet, near one of the beds. The drawers of one of the bureaus wouldn’t stay closed so that if you remembered you could walk around it but if not you banged your shins. There were several pieces of scotch tape that failed in their quest to keep it closed. During our first night-3:00am, A large group was checking in, speaking loudly with playfully screaming children. Sleeping on the third floor we were awakened and remained awake during the 20 minutes it took to check them in. Apparently the staff did not feel the need to ask them to turn down their volume. We attempted to call the front desk to request this but were unable to reach them. In addition, during 90 degree weather our AC went in and out during the night. As frequent travelers we often overlook some of these things if the staff are kind and helpful. This was not the case. To add insult to injury, the entire staff, although not outright rude, were not friendly in the least. For all of this, we paid almost $300 per night.

I have never gone through with giving the effort to ever leave a bad review, but I would be doing the people a disservice if I didn't warn them. DO NOT STAY HERE!
the rooms have mold, they're not clean, there are stains on ALL the sheets, the bed, and on the couch. the blankets/comforter were ripped and stained, the sink was clogged, mold and smoke stains on the ceiling(when they claim to be smoke free) and the TV was broken. the bathroom had a disgusting stained shower, with so much buildup on the shower head that the water pressure was TERRIBLE. I was never so grossed out from a hotel before. this place was not worth even close to the $500 we spent for 2 nights. I wouldn't pay more than $100 for a night at this place. oh and the "free breakfast" doesn't come with anything.. better off going to the bob evans right in front of the building.
we were so unpleased with our stay we left and didn't even stay the second night.
they also don't offer early check in, because "house keeping" comes at a certain time. when the house keeping obviously doesn't even clean.
long story short DON'T STAY HERE.
take your money else where and invest in an establishment that actually shows they care about their customers.

This hotel was terrible. Everything you leave your room you couldn't get back in. They had to keep resetting your key. No trash taking out, breakfast was terrible, room nasty, people was going around check car,and bad part lady sleep under the tree every night.p
Rooms: Dirty, old, key never work.
Safety: Homeless people all over the place. Walking around checking cars.

Horrible rooms there was blood and other bodily fluids stained everywhere. Also found hair in the beds. They claim it's a non smoking facility but the entire place smelled of smoke. DO NOT STAY

Room was dusty and had a weird smell. Hotel was loud and rowdy. We asked for basics such as toilet paper and the staff at desk said they didn't know where to get some.
