“This is an auto repair shop that I highly recommend! It was formerly Gilbert's and now J & S. My family has been taking our vehicles here for years and every time we have that been there we have received excellent service! These guys are very friendly, knowledgeable, dependable & down to earth. Above all, THEY ARE HONEST! I really don't know much about cars other than the very basics and unfortunately have had many bad experiences with unhonest repair shops that have ripped me off. At J & S, I've only had good experiences with honest and trustworthy service. If you don't really need something, they don't try to upsell you on unnecessary parts or repairs. Overall good place, good service, good people! John is great!”

Mark at Doug's Auto really helped me out of a jam and got me back on the road within a day and a half very affordably. He had the chance to upsell me by insisting on replacing x,y and z, but he opted to just simply fix my mistake like I asked.Great shop - they're few and far between these days with all the corporate outfits out there. “Josh is the best around. He's the ONLY mechanic that did not over quote me on repairs (major) for 2 of my luxury vehicles on 2 separate occasions now. Before we found Josh, every mechanic within a 70 mile radius quoted me prices 1k, and even 2k more than he did. If they weren't over charging they said they just couldn't do the work, or they were telling me the only way to fix the issues were by them ordering brand new parts, or totally needing to replace parts that were really repairable. So sad that mechanics everywhere within the Kent and New Castle Co. Are really getting over on people. First honest mechanic I've come across and he's a genius at his work. Call him and you won't be disappointed.”
